Two great reporters teaching a white guy about people of color, especially himself.
Jul 15, 2017 by Continental

These two consistently set a high bar for reporting from the mind and the heart. When About Race went off the air I thought there would be a big gap but this show is filling it. I learn something about my identity and how little I understand with every show. They do make me laugh, cry and squirm and it's all good.

Information that really helps when talking about race to anyone
Jun 28, 2017 by FauxPas

Consistent high quality stories and information that help me sort out all kinds of things about being white and figuring out to be part of changing the mindless impact of that fact. I especially like how Shereen and Gene and willing to speak openly about how a range of issues strike them emotionally. It is always good reporting, and they speak from the heart, too.

Shereen Marisol Meraji and Gene Demby do a masterful job of navigating issues of race, ethnicity, identity and politics.

I've been a listener for over a year now and I'm never disappointed. There are frequent guests to contribute to discussion of a broad range of topics, from black superheroes in comics to black horror films to the diaspora of Puerto Ricans (that episode made me cry). Anyone who cares about racism and better understanding black and brown lives in America should be listening to this podcast.
