There are so many parenting styles out there and we know how confusing and daunting it can be comparing them.
So we've decided to do the hard-yards for you and take a deeper look at some.
We kick off our series on parenting styles talking to parenting educator and speaker Lael Stone about 'Aware Parenting'. What it means, how we can implement it in every day life and how to work on it with your partner.
And in our nails and fail this week - Tegan attempts to explain eyebrows and Leigh negotiates nap time.

This is a podcast for adults that includes some pretty frank conversation about sex. You do you, but if you have little ears around, maybe stick your headphones in...
There comes a time in every parents life when they must confront the age old question of how to explain sex and babies to their kids. How do we go about answering the endless ‘why’s’ and ‘how’s’?
AND are pets good for kids to learn responsibility and care or are they just an extra job and expense for parents?
This week Leigh and Tegan try to answer a couple of listener dilemmas and come to the conclusion that we may just need some more help on these ones...
Nails and Fails - Tegan handles breakfast chaos at Cafe Natoli and Leigh fact checks Alexander’s beliefs about cats and dogs.

With World Kindness Day coming up we thought we’d get Kath Koschel, founder of The Kindness Factory, on the show to tell us a little bit about how we can help our kids to be kind.
She spoke to us about how what kindness looks like and how gratitude plays a part in being kind.
In honour of World Kindness Day coming up on Wednesday November 13th, Leigh and Tegan have set a challenge for themselves to record the things that they’re grateful for, for 21 days.
In Nails and Fails Tegan wonders if she’s expecting too much from her son and Alexander helps Leigh with his handyman skills!

For many of us the Wiggles will be on high rotation in the car or on the TV. Some of us might have even watched them as kids and now our kids are watching them!
We got to speak to Yellow Wiggle Tsehay Hawkins about her path to becoming a Wiggle, her passions and her advocacy for diversity and representation on TV.
She even answered a couple of questions from the kids!
And on Nails and Fails - Leigh and Tegan learn that having fun without your kids will come back to bite you and that little hands make slightly lighter work…

It can be hard to get your kids to eat whats on their plate, refusing the meal you’ve lovingly served up - whether it be not liking their greens, not wanting to mix the different food groups, an aversion to the idea of eating a favourite farm animal or a fussy palate.
So we put the word out on Facebook to find your best tips and Leigh and Tegan brought some of their own tricks for helping make sure your kids are getting a balanced meal, whatever that might take!
In this weeks Nails and Fails, Leigh and Tegan realised it really does take a village! Whether it's providing last minute childcare or leftovers.

This week, we received a very relatable dilemma via our Mamamia Family Facebook group.
A listener is on maternity leave and struggling to justify spending money on herself as she's not earning an income, even though she is of course doing a ton of unpaid labour. It's a dilemma that struck a chord with Tegan and Leigh, so we enlisted the help of our Parents Group to talk through this tough issue, and give some advice.
Plus, our nails and fails include a crushed finger and the power of saying no.

Have you seen the new Pixar movie Turning Red? Some parents see it as a joyful look at the tween years through the eyes of Mei Lee, a 13 year old who turns into a giant red panda when she feels any strong emotion (bought on by getting her period). Others are worried it might give youngsters some questionable ideas.

Something that almost all new parents have to deal with (alongside raising a tiny human) is a change in their sex life. Chances are your libido is shot, you're sore down there, you're exhausted and annoyed at your partner for even breathing too loudly, and have a baby hanging off your boobs most of the time. None of these things are particularly erotic, so how can you ensure you're connecting with your partner romantically and physically?
Today Tegan and Leigh speak to sexologist Aleeya Hachem from the Australian Institute of Sexology and Sexual Medicine, who has a four month old herself and is passionate about helping women pre and postpartum.
Plus, our weekly Nails and Fails, including crying over a sold cot and a white lie about a bear.

You can follow Aleeya Hachem on Instagram at @great.sexpectations.

Seven years ago, Holly Wainwright & Andrew Daddo walked into a podcast studio. Today, on their final show, we look back at everything they've learned along the way. And, it's a lot....

How prepared are you for an emergency situation? It can be scary to think about, but there's nothing more important than knowing what to do if something goes wrong with your child.
Nikki Jurcutz started her career as a paramedic, and was shocked to find so many parents she met did not know basic first aid like CPR. So she and her sister, Rachel, started Tiny Hearts Education, to empower parents with the knowledge they need to act in an emergency.
She joins Tegan and Leigh to talk about her time as a paramedic, starting Tiny Hearts and some safety tips that every parent should know.

Welcome to This Glorious Mess Little Kids. A twice-weekly look at parenting as it really is - confusing, exhausting, inspiring, funny and full of surprises. So many surprises.
A few weeks ago we spoke about the mental load of the life admin that comes with being a mum, and you let us know that you could not relate more. We received so many messages and emails from mums and dads who related, so Leigh and Tegan wanted to dedicate a whole episode to the hacks that make their lives just that bit easier.
From outsourcing to chore schedules to robot vacuums, there's something for everyone to help ease the never ending mental load.
Plus, during Nail and Fail of the week, Leigh opens up about where she's landed at her fertility journey.

Welcome to This Glorious Mess Big Kids, a twice-weekly look at parenting as it really is - confusing, exhausting, inspiring, funny, and full of surprises. So many surprises!
Holly, like so many other Australians, contracted COVID-19 over the summer break. Luckily her family didn't, but of course that meant she had to isolate away from them for a whole week. Now that she's feeling (slightly) better, she's answering all of Andrew's questions about what it felt like to be positive, how she juggled family and work while being sick, and the surprising 'beautiful' moments amongst it all.
Plus Holly and Andrew share their Nails and Fails of the week, and discuss a tough Parenting Mentor question from a listener who doesn't get along with one of her daughters.
