In this episode we are going to learn about the benefits of massage for your dog. I am so excited to have Jennifer Robertson on the show with us. She is a small animal massage practitioner in the Los Angeles area and her company is I Work For Dogs. Jennifer studied at the Northwest School of Animal Massage near Seattle and has also studied acupressure as well.

How did you get started in this field?

How would you define massage?

Why do dogs need it?

What can massage help with?

How does massage on humans vs dogs differ?

Do most dogs sit still?

What could one expect from their dog’s first massage treatment?

How long are follow-up sessions and how frequent should they be?

Anything someone would do to prepare their dog for a session?

What should be expected after a session?

Can I massage my dog on my own at home?

Are there instances when dogs should not receive massage?

Any success stories?
