Imagine what it would be like to travel the world, meet the most amazing people on the road, learn from them and gain an incredible perspective about how they live.
Now imagine being able to do that from your home.
I created The Bus Driver Experience as a way to gain a new perspective from the unique lives of other people - Olympic athletes, monks, porn stars - to not just learn, but EXPERIENCE what it’s like to be in their shoes for a day.
And do it in a way unlike how every other travel/interview show does it. Most other shows merely talk with these individuals.
But talking with these people isn’t enough for me.
I want to live their unique story. To understand not only what they go through in their day to day, but also why they’re doing it.

Ian Markow is a Miami based Kinstretch instructor. He is the founder of Markow Training Systems where he integrates mobility principles with strength training. The number one priority of Markow Training Systems is to educate people all over the world giving them independence. This means no longer seeing the chiropractor two times a week, no more pain killers, and ultimately knowing that you can DO ANYTHING with proper progressions.
As a former athlete and now a regular Joe I know what it's like to fight to stay in shape as well as deal with decades of wear and tear.

Today I am joined by THE Voice of all the Big Guards out there, that's right I have Big Guard himself, Juan Bates. His Instagram and YouTube Channel has become the premier platform for small guards.
Big Guard is more than another hooper; he is one more excellent example of a player that won’t shut up and dribble - a rebel with a cause. His cause is to use his Big Guard platform to inspire, motivate, and elevate athletes that face hurdles similar to those he himself experienced.
Almost all athletes when they step away from the game have a hard time finding their footing. If you are a regular to the show you know I speak on this at length. Big Guard is a great example of someone continuing to use basketball as their vehicle to inspire change to other hoopers coming up.
Juan and I talk about the art of the hesitation as well as the NBA reopening next week! Although we both seek to inspire and empower the next generation we have different approaches and ideas on how to do this. Juan and I take the Bus off the rails when diving deep into the pandemic and best ways to combat the virus.

Lizbeth De La Cruz is a first generation latinx student from Los Angeles, California. Inspired by her teachers in elementary school, from an early age, she discovered her passion for learning and teaching. These experiences and others brought Lizbeth's interests and the community together enabled a strong foundation which has shaped her activism and public service through engaged digital scholarship.
Currently, Lizbeth is a fifth year Ph.D. Candidate at the University of California Davis working towards a Ph.D. in Spanish with an emphasis on Human Rights. She received her B.A. and M.A. from Fresno State.
Her academic scholarship emphasizes a Publicly Engaged Digital Humanities approach through fieldwork in the U.S.-Mexico Border. Her role as a facilitator for the DACAmented: DREAMS without Borders and Humanizing Deportation, Digital Storytelling projects provide the platform for undocumented immigrants and deportees to participate as knowledge creators. Lizbeth is currently co-developing Migri Map, a humanitarian aid resource for migrants in Tijuana.
I met Lizbeth last year while I was on assignment for AJ+. I was covering the Playas de Tijuana Mural Project in Tijuana.
Watch that video here
While covering her story I was moved not only by her work but the many individuals I spoke with. Many of them have been negatively effected by the immigration policy between the United States and Mexico. Lizbeth and I jump right into supreme court rulings that recently took place, ICE and childhood detainees on our southern border.
Please check out Lizbeths work below and be sure to check out some of her amazing programs on her site and how you can help.

John Kim (The Angry Therapist) pioneered the online life coaching movement seven years ago, after going through a divorce which led to his total re-birth. He quickly built a devoted following of fans who loved the frank and authentic insights that he freely shared on social media. He pulled the curtain back and showed himself by practicing transparency and sharing his story something therapists are taught not to do. Kim became known as an unconventional therapist who worked out of the box by seeing clients at coffee shops, on hikes, in a CrossFit box. He quickly built a coaching team of his own and launched a sister company called JRNI, creating a new way to help people help people and change the way we change.
Johns podcast The Angry Therapist, delivers self-help and therapy in a shot glass, ten minutes or less. Love Hard. Resist Nothing. Self-Help and Therapy in a Shot Glass. I highly suggest you check out Johns podcast wherever you consume podcasts.
I am a big fan of his work. Like the unusual conversations I have on my show John is having conversations with men, women, couples and the youth that most people aren't having. John and I go over not only what it means to be a man in todays day and age but how the generational divide shape dating and relationships.
Please enjoy this episode and check out Johns work below.

After listening to a few episodes I found this podcast to be quite entertaining and filled with discernible and usable information. The guests are range well in different fields and actually quite intelligent for the most part. The conversation can get flat at times but is mostly filled with quality banter. Actually it seems that its an interview often balanced with conversation flow. The ads are a bit annoying in the beginning but the show hosts are funny so that negates anything. The length of the episodes are quite ideal as i find that anything longer than 90 minutes can just drag on. They tout young adults and will hope they add some thought stimulating conversation in the future.
