Dr Sophie Bostock is a sleep specialist who is fascinated by sleep. Sophie studied medicine at Nottingham University and then went on to study an MSC in entrepreneurship. After several years in consulting she completed a PhD in health phycology at UCL and was investigating why happiness was affected by heart disease. Sophie’s research on sleep then went on to point to why sleep is an unsung hero of mental and physical resilience. Khadijah Mellah is the first hijab wearing jockey in a competitive British horse race. Despite being new to horse racing, she went on to win the Magnolia cup. Her story was the subject of an amazing TV documentary called Riding Dream and her story continues to inspire others to take risks and overcome adversity.
