About The Get Down: The Get Down is a musical drama television series created by Baz Luhrmann and Stephen Adly Guirgis that is slated to debut in 2016 on Netflix. The first season will be twelve 1-hour episodes in length and will be produced by Sony Pictures Television. The first six episodes of the series premiered on August 12, 2016.
