Hey all,
As always before we get started we want to thank Gavin Dunne, whose music ranges from J-pop to some very decent metal.
This week, we have a bit of a chat about Logan and Wonder Woman and what we think of them. There’s also a new movie coming up about the story of the guy who created Diana and it sounds like as far as movies go it’ll be a very hard R indeed. There may be other hard things involved in a very grey kind of way.
As for what we’ve been playing this week? We’ve both been putting a bit of time into Outland, which you can get through Steam.

We’re both impressed by the aesthetics of this very charming little platformer and both think it’s worth the cash at some point.
Paul has become un-ashamedly addicted to Speedrunners, even putting his honour and a fiver up for grabs at his work place. You can get it from here:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/207140/SpeedRunners/ and until the 15th of June it’s free as a games with gold:

I’ve been enjoying a golden oldie which I got for $5 last week on Steam. It’s no longer at that price but it is currently available in a bundle with a bunch of other games:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/20500/Red_Faction_Guerrilla_Steam_Edition/ USD$19
Paul is currently more excited by E3 than I am, and I think it shows. We’ve decided to get more into it next week, so keep your ears peeled for that I’d say. I did however find a new place to get games obscenely cheap that doesn’t involve either piracy or racketeering (at least as far as I know):

We looked at a few games on kickstarter this week that we liked for different reasons. I’m a big fan of teaching children new skills so a tactile boardgame that teaches the ideas behind coding sounds like a good idea:

And Paul is still something of a cyclopath and it’s showing:

We decided to mix up how we talk about kickstarters from here on and decided we’d pick 2 and then decide which we like a lot more. For boardgames it came down to the boardgame of Left4Dead:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cmon/zombicide-green-horde?ref=category
And a new game about helping pre-history people build a civilisation:

Which did we pick? Listen and find out!
We also looked at these 2 game projects:

And

Well to be honest everyone, this was an unfair fight, which you’ll see when you click the links or listen to us.
Now, depending on how pedantic you are, you might want to look away from the next series of notes as we talked about the fact that rule flubbing isn’t the worst thing in the world. At least, not yet.

I listen to:

And I came back with a new perspective on art forms which I’m thinking will increase my enjoyment of comics, movies, games etc etc. Never a bad thing.
Paul has listened to this one, which, if you’re into animation you’ll quite enjoy:

As for next week, we’re going to talk up E3 and will be featuring an interview with someone that made a game where we had way too much fun!
Thanks all and keep rolling!
