Submit ReviewAre you ok? This is a question that many people are afraid to ask and it is something that we have become more and more aware of the importance of asking over the last few weeks. With R U Ok Day last week we thought it was a good opportunity to have a conversation about Robo's battle with depression. Believe it or not, this is not something that we had discussed before. Robo goes into the factors he thinks led to his depression, what it was like being depressed, when he realised that something was wrong, how he dealt with it and the important role that support played. Robo also highlighted that endurance sport and getting active played a big role in his recovery. We discussed how going through a battle with depression has changed him and made him stronger today.
We really want to try and have conversations that people are not used to hearing to try and 'normalise' things that so many people suffer from and this seemed like a great opportunity to do so. Mike was incredibly open and honest and provides an interesting perspective on his relationship with the disease. We also discuss one of the worst 'fitness' articles we have EVER come across (face palm worthy) and share our thoughts on the Sunny Coast race we both competed at last weekend.
