Submit ReviewWhen most people think about weight change it is usually about people who manage to lose weight and live a more active, healthy life. But there is another side that is not so popular to talk about. This week we are joined by Dr. Charlotte Durand. Charlotte suffered from a serious eating disorder and shares with us her experiences with it and how she is recovering now, years later. Charlotte explains that it isn't as simple as putting a label on something, that there is more to it than simply receiving a diagnosis and getting better. There is so much more complexity and complication around eating disorders. Charlotte highlights the fine line that many endurance athletes walk with their diet and how many people may not realise that they do in fact suffer from some form of disordered eating. We discuss the warning signs that a person should look out for, some things you can do if you think yourself or a person you know is suffering from an unhealthy relationship with food.
We are really excited to present this episode to you because it is not something that many people are comfortable talking about and talking about it is one of the most important ways to make people more aware of eating disorders.
*If while listening you think that maybe yourself or someone you know may be suffering from any of the things we discuss this week, please seek medical advice.*
