Aren’t we lucky to have Dr Judy Jasek back on the show again!? Dr. Judy is a holistic veterinarian who’s specialty is in caring for cancer patients. Using the knowledge gained in her 30+ years of practicing, Dr Judy has developed a unique whole-body approach to both treating and preventing disease. She looks at the whole animal, and supports the natural healing ability of the body with proper nutrition, detoxification, and eliminating the underlying causes of disease. She then uses tools such as ozone, herbs, CBD, essential oils, and whole food supplements to optimize the health of the body and help it to eliminate the disease.

Her personal pets and teachers are Wylie and C-Jay, two Chihuahuas who are always in her shadow.

Before we start, I wanted to share the latest statistics regarding canine cancer:

An estimated 6 million dogs will be diagnosed with cancer this year. ... According to The Veterinary Cancer Society, cancer is the leading cause of death in 47% of dogs, especially dogs over age ten. Dogs get cancer at about the same rate as humans

And Dr. Judy we were together last night and I think that you mentioned that the latest stat that you’ve heard is that 2 out of 3 dogs will get cancer? Is that right?

So, why don’t we start with you telling us about the 5 underlying causes of cancer in dogs

What are some of the most common cancers in dogs?

Are there diagnostic tests or exams that should be done regularly to try to detect cancer in dogs?

Are some types of cancers more treatable than others?

What does an oncologist do that my own local vet can’t do?

Dr. Judy, how can people get a hold of you? https://drjudyholisticvet.com/
