Tonight’s storytelling is a Portuguese tale called ‘Princess Bluegreen & the Seven Cities’, by Elsie Spicer Eells. This story is about King Graywhite and Queen Rosewhite of Atlantis, who are very sad because they have not be able to bear children. As the years pass, their sadness only deepens and King Graywhite becomes very bitter and treats the people of his kingdom horribly. One evening, after many years of prayer, a fairy of light finally grants them their wish, but, on one condition to repent the King’s cruelty. Will the King and Queen keep their promise so that they may one day be reunited with their lovely daughter?
