Submit ReviewWelcome back dreamy listeners! Tonight we will drift off to a beautiful Japanese tale called 'The Black Bowl'. This is an old Japanese folktale that was collected and then later retold by author Grace James in the 1900's in her book called 'Japanese Fairytales'. I hope you enjoy it as much as I loved narrating it for you! May this storytelling bring you peace and a restful sleep!Your friend, Joanne Attributions:Intro music 'Kimono of Tears by Mandala Dream via Epidemic SoundNarration music 'And There You Were' by Christian Andersen via Epidemic Sound

Welcome back my friend! Tonight’s bedtime story is a masterpiece penned by legendary Oscar Wilde called ‘The Nightingale and the Rose’, a beautiful story of love, sacrifice, and the beauty of nature. The storytelling begins with a beautiful short guided relaxation with soothing sounds to help you relax and settle in. Welcome back! Tonight's bedtime storytelling is 'The Tears of Prunella' by Evelyn Sharp. In this dreamy fairytale, we follow a young lad who is deaf due to an enchantment bestowed upon him by the whims of fairyland. This enchantment separates him from the world he so dearly wishes to be a part of and, with unwavering determination, he seeks to become a real boy—not for the sake of hearing the songs of birds or the rustle of the wind, but to hear the tears of his princess and offer the comfort that only true friendship can provide. As always, the story begins with a short 'settling in relaxation' followed by the storytelling. The soft background music will continue for short while after the storytelling to help you transition to sleep. Enjoy and sweet dreams!Your friend,Joanne :)Attributions:Intro music 'Tranquility Lane' by Dawn Dawn Dawn via Epidemic SoundStory music 'Adrift' by Christopher Lloyd ClarkThe Tears of Prunella (from the book 'The Other Side of the Sun) by Evelyn Sharp & resides in the public domain
