John Bukenas is a podcast editor from New Jersey. He started the podcast doing keto and intermittent fasting, but is now gearing up for bariatric surgery (probably) later this summer.

Emily Prokop is a podcast editor from Connecticut. She has been doing Intermittent Fasting since April 2018 and has lost more than 60 pounds. She started with 16:8 and is now doing 18:6.

- Last week was a HEAVY week, but the support we received was phenomenal! Thank you to everyone who reached out with support and encouragement. We really do read everything and it keeps us going!
- John took a trip to the Emergency Room for his foot. Luckily everything seems to be OK for now.
- But the annoyance of it meant he was able to avoid overeating!
- In case you’re new to the show, Intermittent Fasting means only eating during a certain number of hours every day.
- We’re reparenting ourselves and negotiating with ourselves, but it’s working!
- At-Home-Emily hates to cook; Out-Shopping-Emily forgets this and buys vegetables that just go bad. Can you relate?
- John has a great baked potato routine going!
- Emily found frozen cauliflower pizza. The good news: it tastes just like a regular frozen pizza! The bad news: it takes just like a regular frozen pizza.
- Have you tried cauliflower pizza?
- Your mindset when you lose weight is very weird and is tricky for both of us.
- Our bodies can do so much! But our brains take some time to catch up to the changes.
- "The Mind, Explained" (not “The Brain, Explained,” as Emily says) is fantastic! The Anxiety episode is a great one to start one.
- Are we just giving ourselves cheap exposure therapy by podcasting about our weight loss struggles?
