We talk about diet and exercise and sleep we can often fall into viewing them as a chore. A should. Instead of a reverent endeavor we choose for our glorious well being. Rituals transcend mere chores and instill a reverence and even sacredness to the effort. In this episode Dr James and I talk about taking our daily health and wellness habits and treating them as true rituals that give them far more depth and meaning which of course help dramatically to how we perceive them and therefore, consistently engage with them for the benefit we truly desire. We aren’t clanging gongs or chanting in robes. You may want to. Be free. But even if it’s just an activity where you put a smile on your face, consider the deep reason you are doing it, and feel gratitude instead of chore. That’s a win.
