Submit ReviewRachel went for a casual run on the Big Otter Trail, a trail she knows well and had run many times before.Unfortunately, on this one occasion, she encountered a mother bear protecting her cubs. The bear chased her and Rachel only escaped when she eventually found a tree to climb. With the bear intent on continuing the pursuit, Rachel was forced to spend the night in tree in cold temperatures, with no light source, food, or water.Thankfully, the following day the bear had gone, and Rachel made it home to find the town had been searching for her. The experience was, of course, traumatic for her, and has left its mark.Jody and David speak with Rachel about her experience and the lasting effect it has had on her and her relationship with running.Enjoy!
