Personal costumer to David Boreanaz from SEAL Team, Rob Bolger, describes to America's Podcaster, Kurt Caceres, about the nomadic life of a costumer in Hollywood. He compares it to that of a carnival carny, always on the move, never stability, thankful when you have a job, often always ready for the next. "Being of service to others" he says, whatever is needed, he is there for the actors and the production. He is known for having a knack for dealing with difficult actors. He says his job is "common sense, he's not a creative". "Work smart, not hard" he remembers one of his great teachers telling him. He talks about working with David E. Kelly who only writes one draft of a script, as well as how amazing David Rapaport is as an actor. Artists today just want the quick road to fame, no practice, no craft, just instant fame. Musicians and actors used to honor the craft and daily practice, that's why so much of Hollywood has lost in quality what it's gained in celebrity. This is a behind the scenes Hollywood, from the P.O.V. of a costumer.XXPlease Follow and Subscribe to the Podcast.
