Submit ReviewTim Ryan arrived in Nashville from Montana with not much more than with his wife by his side, and guitar in hand. He literally didn't know a soul, but within the first day in Music City had a major record deal. Upon releasing his debut album, the deal fell through, but then got picked up by another major label... and then another. As an artist, his success rate wasn't what he had imagined it being, and the harsh reality of a record deal (or lack thereof) set in.
But then Tim met the likes of such songwriters as Phil Vasser, and soon went on a musical journey of writing a #1 hit song at radio, which provided him the opportunity to fulfill his new dream, to write a symphony titled "My Grandpa's Fiddle". Creating, developing and financing the entire project himself, it went on to become one of the most successful programs on PBS Television across the United States.
Tune in as Tim provides his insight into what it still takes to make it in the music business as an artist and a songwriter, and helps you understand that your first dream might just not be the final path you take.
