She is first talking about breath work, meditation and stillness because these are ways that can open the door to having a more spiritual life. These things are not difficult to incorporate and don’t have to be time consuming. Sometimes all it takes is taking 5 deep breaths or a 5 minute meditation. Or you could start your morning out with prayer and connect with God. Another way to help with your spirituality is to write/journal what’s going on in your heart, mind, and then sit in stillness and allow yourself to reflect.
