I really liked 'Serial', which is why I was so surprised that I did not enjoy this podcast. For the first couple of episodes, you feel like you're going to get another season of Serial. Unfortunately, the reporter somehow makes the story about himself and about how HE explored what was going on in this town instead of being about the actual people that were living and dying in it. It was really off-putting to me. I stopped listening after 4 episodes. I'm glad that people enjoyed it, but this was not for me.
This is probably the best podcast ever made. Both seasons 1 and 2 were entertaining from start to finish. They explore cold cases where there seems to be some unanswered questions that leave doubt in anyone's mind. This show took a turn for the worse in collaborating with 'This American Life' and creating 'S-Town'. I'm hoping 'Serial' comes back with a season 3, unencumbered by collaborations.
You'll learn a lot and have a good time doing it. These two guys are excellent communicators and can easily explain complex topics. They cover everything and really just have a (semi-scripted) conversation about it.

What a lovely bunch. This podcast is an entertaining discussion of current political news with a focus on polling and data. Nate Silver provides excellent insights and is backed up by an excellent cast of really smart analysts.

If you like low-produced podcasts and you like politics, you'll love this. It's really just a bunch of political writers from NPR sitting down and chatting about current political news. In an era where politics is entertainment, this is very entertaining!

This is a great podcast! The host is Australian, so the accent is pretty great. Also she does an excellent job presenting complex and controversial topics and really getting down to the facts as they are represented in academic literature.
This is a great podcast for the really important news stories. They will usually cover three stories and hear from reporters who are close the action. I like it better than 'The Daily' because it has less fluff stories.
This podcast is okay. I prefer 'Up First' from NPR, because it tends to focus more on high-level news stories, while this podcast tends to focus more on human interest stories and pop culture.
