While any team could win on a given night, the guys discuss the pros and cons of parity, such as the reluctance for teams to make trades.

Plus, current cap-strapped NHL teams and how hard it is to make moves being up against the cap.
Headlines covers the keys to the Devils’ ridiculous 13-game ‘heater’, and Dregs talks GM Tom Fitzgerald’s willingness to add a piece. Plus, ‘Hank and Danny’ discuss their current role with the Vancouver Canucks, and the importance of teaching players to use their teammates rather than being too individualistic.
In Headlines, the guys talk Alex Edler’s questionable hit on Connor McDavid; what McDavid’s skill does to defenders and why it should have been a suspendable play. Goaltending is a hot topic as Canucks’ Thatcher Demko’s numbers rank amongst the league’s worst, and the Buffalo Sabres shaky goaltending tandem is considered as part of the reason they’ve struggled lately. Former NHL goalie Scott Darling’s stand-up comedy career takes some heat as Darling ripped into the city of St. Louis.

Hockey Hall of Famer Börje Salming received an emotional ovation at the Toronto Maple Leafs game on Saturday, as the Leafs legend battles ALS. Salming’s impact as one of the first Swedish-born NHL players paved the way for his fellow countrymen to have their moment as well. Henrik and Daniel Sedin’s speeches from last night, and their unique careers are discussed as the guys talk what the bar is for a Hall of Famer. Roberto Luongo’s Italian-Canadian upbringing has Ray remembering his NHL journey, and the comforts of home, like freshly ironed boxers!
Headlines includes the St. Louis Blues capturing a MUCH needed victory over the defending cup champion, Colorado Avalanche. If a struggling Blues team can use this as a springboard to save their season, and decisions ahead for GM Doug Armstrong if they don’t. Jake Muzzin’s - perhaps permanent - absence causes concern for the player’s well-being, and also for an already questionable Toronto Maple Leafs blue-line. Plus, could changes be coming as soon as this week for the Vancouver Canucks?? According to Dregs, Bruce Boudreau’s position behind the Canucks bench could be vacant any day now.
Betano’s Kris Abbott was absent as he’s galavanting in Greece; he’ll be saying ‘Opa!’ when he hears the guys praise his NHL bets. However, it was another team ‘L’ on NFL picks as Aaron Rodgers heard the pod picked the Cowboys, and promptly got his groove back. Stanley Cup odds are discussed, rough starts for the St. Louis Blues and Pittsburgh Penguins have the guys eyeing if those teams rebounding could result in an improbable cup run.

Plus, Ray and 'Flower' shared pranking stories, including Sidney Crosby’s sneaky prank on Fleury in Pittsburgh.

Ray’s feeling like a ‘Rockstar’ after seeing Post Malone live in-concert with his boys, but it was another celebrity making noise in the hockey world this week. Ray and Dregs kick things off talking Deadpool aka. Ryan Reynolds and the hype surrounding his interest in buying the Ottawa Senators.
The Boston Bruins signing, and subsequent un-signing, of Malcolm Miller has been a mess from start-to-finish: NHLPA ramifications, lack of foresight for the victim, and the onus of responsibility needed from Miller’s parents are discussed. On the ice, the Bruins are rolling, while their most-recent opponent is not. The St. Louis Blues are now on a 7-game slide, the guys ponder if there’s a disconnect between the team and coaches, and talk star players needing to step into their roles.
Western Canadian teams are all taking some L’s recently. Edmonton Oilers’ penalty killing, and Calgary Flames’ growing pains are amongst reasons for concern in those markets. However, the Vancouver Canucks issues seem to be reaching a boiling point. Canucks President, Jim Rutherford’s thinly veiled comments at Head Coach Bruce Boudreau, along with captain Bo Horvat’s pending UFA status, and a lacklustre record; might just spell the end for this core. The guys examine whether or not a rebuild could be coming on the Westcoast.
Kris Abbott has his voice back and is using it to shed light on the “1” blemish on Ray’s 5-1 NFL picks record. The Pittsburgh Penguins 6-game skid, including blowing multi-goal leads in two straight, most recently vs. the Sabres. Headlines kicks off with Phil ‘The Thrill’ Kessel as he ties the NHL ironman streak, playing a ridiculous 989 consecutive games! The guys debate whether Kessel should be in the Hockey Hall of Fame when he retires, and Ray discusses why he doesn’t think Stanley Cup rings are always a good measure. Kessel’s disallowed goal vs. the Leafs has Ray ‘challenging’ the NHL rule book, but it’s bittersweet as it keeps Phil 9 goals back of Ray’s NHL total!

We all played a collective game of “Where’s Waldo?” at the conclusion of Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final. First, finding the puck on Nazem Kadri’s (eventual) OT winner, then counting the players on the ice after Jon Cooper hinted at a missed Too Many Men call in his bizarre post-game presser. In any case, Game 5 is here, and it’s sure to be beautiful!
