Submit ReviewOur guest today is Dr. Joseph Pinzone, an endocrinologist who is leading innovative work at the Hyperthermia Cancer Institute (HCI).
I first learned about the HCI from a friend who had undergone treatment for stomach cancer. The HCI uses a hyperthermia-directed treatment that targets specific tissue in the body with temperatures ranging from 106 to 109 degrees Celsius. This therapy is administered alongside chemotherapy and radiation or radiotherapy and has minimal downsides. Additionally, the therapy is FDA-approved, and most insurance policies cover it.
I was thrilled to learn more about this exciting new treatment. Dr. Pinzone shares how this therapy is transforming patients' lives. We hope to raise awareness among oncologists and patients alike that this therapy can be a viable supportive modality for certain individuals. Let's dive in and learn more about this revolutionary approach to cancer care. Enjoy.

On today's show, I'll be reflecting on some of the key takeaways from our recent shows.
To start off, I want to share something personal with you. Lately, I've been struggling to maintain a consistent workout routine. Despite my best efforts, I'm finding it challenging to exercise as regularly as I'd like to. However, I've come to realize that it's okay to adapt my workouts to suit my current circumstances. By doing so, I'm able to prioritize my well-being while making progress towards my personal goals.
Additionally, I'm excited to delve into the topic of relying on data and technology versus staying connected to our internal selves when it comes to tracking our progress. As someone who's been in the fitness industry for a while, I've seen the growing trend of measuring devices and metrics. However, I want to emphasize the importance of tuning in to our bodies and being mindful of our physical and emotional needs. We'll explore this topic together and discuss how to find a balance between the two.
Furthermore, we'll talk about the fundamental building blocks for optimal health, such as proper nutrition, exercise, sleep, and stress management. I want to remind you that it's not just about the action we take but our perspective on why we're doing it. I'll share some of my personal experiences and insights that have helped me develop a healthy perspective on the value of health and wellness.
Lastly, as someone who has trained for 35+ years, I've come to realize that developing a sustainable approach to health and wellness is crucial for long-term success. I'll be sharing some tips and strategies that have worked for me and how you can apply them to your own unique circumstances.
Thank you for joining me on this wild journey towards optimal health and well-being. As always, I hope you find this engaging and informative.

My guest today is New York Times best-selling author Laura Day. Laura is an intuitionist and the first person I have met who talks about developing your intuition practically and matter-of-factly. She has been hired by 30 different companies, police trying to solve crimes, and individuals looking for love, but she swears it is something we can all develop better within ourselves. Maybe not to the level she can, but certainly better to help us navigate our personal and professional lives. She has also worked with some of Hollywoods' biggest stars and has been featured on Oprah for her intuitive work.
This was a fun interview because I came out of it looking at intuition and "psychic " completely differently. I'm happy to suspend my beliefs but it is made easier when someone explains things in a way that makes a lot of sense and has a 40 year track record. Laura doesn't love guesswork; she wants real-life feedback and proof that what she sees and feels is accurate. Laura knows how to communicate ways to help people organize a real strategy around figuring out and getting what they desire. Enjoy.

My guest today is two-time pro bowl NFL athlete, Christian McCaffrey. In 2017, he was drafted in the first round by the Carolina Panthers but has since been traded to the San Francisco 49ers. Christian shares his unique approach to grinding it out, having all systems in place, and trusting his instincts.
Growing up with superstar athlete parents, Christian and his three brothers were raised in an environment of discipline, expectation, and love. He shares the techniques and tools that have worked for him to improve performance both on and off the field. As a football player, he knows that it's rare to be 100% healthy throughout a long season, and he explains how to navigate this reality.
Christian is transparent about having a chip on his shoulder and how he uses it as positive motivation in practice and during games. We also discuss the demands of his job and how he balances his relationship, family, and friends. During our conversation, we also touch on performance, family, nutrition, and the art of being a running back.

My guest today is Steven Kotler, a renowned author and expert in the field of aging and performance. Steven shares his scientific approach to aging, exploring whether it's possible to teach an old dog new tricks. He talks about his personal experiment of learning new and dangerous skiing tricks at the age of 53 and how he combined a methodical approach with the seemingly impossible to achieve a surprising and inspiring outcome. You can find it all in his new book "Gnar Country."
Steven also discusses how the choices we make when we are younger can set us up for success in aging, and what we can do as we age to protect our brains and enjoy life to the fullest. With his extensive work with the Flow Research Collective, Steven is well-equipped to explain how to achieve flow, set up the optimal environment for it, and avoid anything that can kill it.
Stephen is challenging the narrative around aging and pushing himself and others to continue to learn new physical and creative endeavors. Tune in to hear more about Steven's latest book, Gnar Country, as well as his other best-selling works, including The Art of Impossible, The Rise of Superman, Abundance, Stealing Fire, The Future Is Faster Than You Think, and Bold. Plus, check out the Flow Research Collective website and follow Steven on Instagram for more insights and inspiration. I for one came away from this conversation more motivated than ever to not allow the narrative around aging to convince me to limit myself from trying new things, or believing that I can continue to thrive and learn new physical and creative endeavors forever.
