Writer/Director Sean McEwan has worked for almost a decade to turn the story of The Dougherty Gang into a movie. Sean started by working with the siblings themselves, wrote the script, and recently produced and directed the film which is currently in post production. He’s brought in the actors who are playing the Dougherty Siblings to talk about the process of bringing a true story to the screen and what it is like playing, Lee Grace, Dylan & Ryan.
The Dougherty’s crime spree all started because the siblings wanted to stick together, but their family bonds only managed to land them in seperate federal prisons. The siblings are a decade into their sentences and describe what prison life is like for each of them.
It’s not looking good for the Doughertys as they sit in a Colorado County Jail and await their trials. Each sibling has a legal team ready to fight for their best out come, but ultimatly their Judge will have the last word.
The Doughertys have just been arrested in Walsenburg, Colorado. The siblings are taken to the local hospital for injuries they’ve sustained in their attempt to get away from law Enforcement. Meanwhile, FBI Agents, Pasco County Sheriff’s Detectives and the national media have descended Walsenburg.
The Doughertys have just lead law enforcement on yet another high speed chase, this time through several counties on Colorado’s I-25. The siblings luck seems to have run out as Ryan’s pedal to the metal driving causes their car to flip over multiple times ultimately landing on a guardrail. The crash has left them shaken but, law enforcement will learn, no less full of fight.
The Doughertys have been on the run for over a week and have managed to evade capture by laying low and traveling through 16 states undetected by law enforcement but a miscalculation on their part may prove to be their biggest mistake.
Episode 6 - Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwiches in Mexico

The Doughertys have just robbed a bank in Valdosta, Georgia and fled the scene with only $5000 for their efforts. As the gravity of their situation sinks in the sibling have two objectives - staying under law enforcement's radar and crossing the border to Mexico.
The Doughertys have managed to elude law enforcement as they’ve crossed over state lines from Florida into Georgia. Realizing they’ll need to fund their get away to Mexico, the siblings make a choice that will take their situation in the eyes of the law, from bad to worse… they decide to rob a bank.
The Doughertys have gotten into a high-speed chase and done the unthinkable, shot at a police officer with an AK-47. Knowing there is now a target on their backs they high tail it across state lines into Georgia and contemplate how their past has affected their present.
