Nikki Owens, cousin of William "Boo Boo" Green, and attorney Malcolm Ruff share why it's important to fight the law with the law. If you don't understand the law, align with the people who are knowledgeable. The only way to get change is when the community is more educated on the happenings of their community.

The Roundtable discussion continues as Nikki Owens speaks on how organizations should connect not just to those national names of people impacted by police violence... but also to those who are impacted directly in their communities. It's important to stand with organizations that are actually aligned with families locally and want to give them a platform to speak.

On January 27th, 2020 William “Boo Boo” Green, was handcuffed with his hands behind his back in the front seat of a police car when he was shot seven times by Prince George's County police officer Michael Owen Jr. Boo Boo's Cousin Nikki and attorney Malcolm Ruff share updates on the case including how many times officer Owen has tried to make bail as well as the failures of the counties system that ignored internal red flags.
CTA for citizens From Nikki Owens
If you’re looking for ways to be of service, Nikki Owens would like you to know that Police oversight in America is non-existent. Cities have tried to fight for laws that require police accountability with resistance from legislators, the Fraternal Order Of Police, and local politicians. The current judicial system in America is discriminatory and racist toward people of color. We the people need to recognize how problematic and dangerous it is for police to police themselves. Deadly force has now become normal instead of a last resort. Unarmed citizens, the mentally distressed, and children are dying at the hands of the people sworn to protect and serve them. We are seeing the centuries long abuse of people of color play out on our television screens daily, yet there is no oversight or consequences. Families are hurting and the call to stop murderous police officers is going unheard. We as families need to stand-up together, fight together, and demand that the laws that work for white citizens be enforced equally to people of color. We need the people paid by citizens to enforce and implement laws without bias, discrimination, and racism.

He didn't kill him instantly. There's video after the incident shows that Boo-Boo was still breathing.

Right. And they didn't remove all of the bullets. So he still has bullets to this day.

Not one bullet came out that car.
Butfor a guy to reload? He'd already shot 16 times.

In the video, you can see that someone is recording of course. The officer pulls up and literally hops out of his car, and walks straight up to her, very aggressive like. It was not a welcoming situation, he was hostile already as if he had gotten a call, So he walked up to her and there was someone who was out there who actually said they watched him drive and see her and hurry up and turn the car and go to her and then hop out. And then he immediately tries to arrest her without announcing himself, any probable cause, anything like that. And of course, my mom, just like any other person would've done, just like I would've done resist, and it's like, hey, what's going on here? Why are you harassing me? What did I do? I hear my mom screaming. Why, why, why, why so many times, but not one response from him. And then, she moves and he tries to tase her, he did tase her. And I see her go down to the ground, and I see him standing on top of her. First of all, he kneeled in her chest and then he stood up, and then I immediately see him back away and pull out his gun. And that's when you just hear shots ring out. Probably worse 40 seconds of my life. All of that happened within a very short amount of time.
Antoinette:
She actually was sitting up looking at him-
Chelsie :
She looked at him.
Antoinette:
You can't see it clear, but you can see the figure she was actually sitting up. And when she went backwards, I told Chelsie, she was shot in her eye. I felt it.
Chelsie :
You could see how her head snapped back on the video-
Antoinette:
And Chelsie said, "What make you think that?" I say," just look the way she falls." And she actually was shot under the eye. But I just felt it's like a pain. And I said she was shot in her eye. I guess we were so close that just like, I felt everything she went through. And it just makes me angry.
Chelsie :
He shattered the left side of her face right here.
Antoinette:
They had to-
Chelsie :
They had to reconstruct her face.
Antoinette :
But that wasn't what killed her.
Chelsie :
Nope. She felt that.
Antoinette:
The second shot was not the shot that killed her, the third shot is the shot that ricocheted and hit her organs and killed her.

So coming from this bike ride I was like forget it, you know, I felt good, I'm gonna do some sit ups, do some push ups, I felt like Rocky, you know, I'm going at it. And it's the story on TV, this doctor just talking, they just got this just playing on TV. 21, I mean, 22 year old woman shot in the head, 39 year old man shot in the hand. So I kept seeing it, every channel. And I'm like Rikia 22.

. the officer pulls up, you know, and they exchange words and like man I ain't got no drugs for your crack head ass, get the hell on out of here and that's when the officer starts shooting, you know.
:... he shot Antonio in the hand and shot Rekia in the back of the head as she was running. Uh, then like, um, seen a little video, of course all the cameras all of a sudden don't work around there but the police they end up coming like 30 seconds after. And as they coming down the street you see Antonio, you just see a white shirt with blood on it, Antonio. So he come up to the car, he point down the way, police, they ride down to what officer was that. You see him about to get in the car, he turn around, look at the police car, grabbed his phone, act like he calling it in. They n- never detained him, they let him tamper with evidence because he shot inside the car.
, Antonio, like man, I have the phone up to my ear, so when he let the shot go, you know, he was shooting for my face 'cause it, the shot hit him in his hand, you know, so, uh, he was gunning for the head. Rekia I don't, I don't think she was next to him but she started running across the alley. [inaudible 01:17:13] say me and her started running. She said whenever we in danger we always check for each other [inaudible 01:17:18] you good, Rekia you good, whatever. She say, you know, I ran across the alley here behind the tree and I turned around looking for Rekia and like, and I called her name and then I looked down and she's laying in the alley.
, supposedly he shot five times, Um, and, a bullet may have ricocheted off of a pole and hit his car. Right? His own bullet may have ricocheted off the pole and hit his car. t and the bullet ricocheted in her head. Right? So it didn't go in and come out. It went in and just ricocheted through her head. Yeah. Awful. Awful.

This week we feature: Into the Depths
Show Host: Tara Roberts
Network: National Geographic
Black scuba divers across the world are searching for buried shipwrecks from the transatlantic slave trade, when millions of enslaved Africans were trafficked to the Americas during the 15th to the 19th centuries. A new six-part podcast series, Into the Depths, follows National Geographic Explorer Tara Roberts as she sets off on the journey of a lifetime to meet the divers, marine archaeologists, descendants of those brought over on ships, and historians investigating the lost stories of the slave trade. She’s inspired to share their accounts both to expand the historical record and to honor the estimated 1.8 million unsung souls who perished during the Middle Passage. Along the way, Tara meets up with her family and friends, spiritual advisers, and even a poet to help tell those ancestral stories, and delves into her own roots—challenging her assumptions about home and belonging.

Bettie Jones was a 55 year old mother and grandmother, who on the early morning of December 26th, 2015 was shot multiple times by officer Robert Rialmo of the Chicago Police Department, as she opened the door to her home for him. Officer Rialmo also shot and killed Quintonio LeGrier, who had come downstairs with a bat while dealing with a mental health situation. Officers were initially called by LeGrier's father who had barricaded himself in his room in an upstairs apartment. He had asked Jones to open the door to the building to let officers in. A lot of debate circulated around the officer's location when he fired the fatal shots. Follow as the family share's the life and legacy of Bettie Jones, and what happened to her that fateful day.

So, um, I went to the bathroom I sat down, I start... I heard some gunshots. Like, I heard, "Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom," and I heard, Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom," that's how it sound.
And I'm like, "What the hell is that?" So, now I'm surprised and I heard something like the mirror shot through a glass. So, I'm like.., "What the... what is that?" So, I was like, "Ooh, that's shooting," because we stayed like around gangs, like they was always into it with each other over there. And I was like, "Mom, get down they shooting. Ma, ma," and she aint say nothing.
I went... I had to look, like I stood and I just turned slow and I looked by the door. And she was laying right there gasping for air and I was like, "Ma!" So, I wind up, you know, holding her, trying to comfort her and trying to comfort her in her time of need as... right then and there. And, um, she was like, you know, like Because she got shot in the neck, in the chest.
Once the door opened-
A crack in the door.
Yeah, she... it was a little crack.
She peeped out and he shot her in the neck.

So, all of a sudden, I hear something go pow, pow, pow, pow, pow, pow. And I said, "Oh my God." I thought it was the neighbors. There's some apartments over here that's behind, they're called Coral Gables, and they always like shooting over there, these young people. So I jumped out on the floor and because the sound was getting closer, got out of that chair over there and came over here and pulled my granddaughter by her legs and said, "Cailyn, wake up. They're shooting outside. They're shooting." And she said, "What, Grandma?" I said, "Yeah, they're shooting. Lay down. We went all the way around to the bedroom on the floor, me and her. And I said, "Papa, they're shooting." He said, "Yeah." Then he said that he thought he heard somebody at the window, but I said, "Well, call the police. See what's going on.

According to court documents, the coroner’s autopsy found that John Horton had a ligature mark around his neck, hematoma in his liver and kidney area, with signs of blunt force trauma. They ruled that his death was caused by asphyxia, due to self-inflicted hanging.
CHIME#2 12:08 (SKIP ahead :30 seconds)
The first day they came here visiting me they said it, too. They say they beat him to death. You got the pictures because we took pictures at the mortuary, John was also handcuffed by one arm when they was beating him. The handcuff was on his wrist so tight that it left a flesh ring. He must was trying to get out of it and it cut a even circle in flesh around his wrist, it was that deep.
probably while they was beating him he was trying to get out of it, whatever they had him handcuffed to.
CHIME#3 57:09 (skip ahead 1 min)
Tamiko Tyler, he was killed in Wayside by the sheriffs, and they beat Tamiko. They tried to say Tamiko fell off from bed, hit his head. But all the time they beat Tamiko, bust his teeth, broke his ribs. They did a lot to Tamiko. And Juan Korea. He got killed in the county jail too. They tried to say he had a heart attack, but all the time, Juan got blunt force trauma to the head, blunt force trauma to the chest, blunt force trauma to the back. They tased him so many times. They did something to his spine too, to where he couldn't walk. And right now, so far you getting away with his death,
And Juan, they took his brain. Haven't gave his brain back to his family yet because it's damaged. Because he got blunt force trauma in the head. And the colonel never told his family he had blunt force trauma to the head. Not even attorneys told his family he had blunt force trauma, So his death is ruled as a heart attack.

John Horton died at the age of 22 on March 30th 2009, while in a solitary confinement cell in Los Angeles' Men's Central Jail. There were conflicting autopsy reports, but ultimately John's mother, Helen Jones, was able to learn about the extensive trauma John suffered leading up to his death. LA county originally listed John's death as suicide, but the Jones family believes this was staged to help move attention away from the potential that John was killed by a Los Angeles Sherriff Department gang known as the 3000 Boys.

Adell and Chris wrap up Season 1 of Say Their Name, reflecting on what they learned and their call to action with the #GetLouder campaign as we support Georgia in the Senate Runoff. CALL TO ACTION: Donate to Families - https://gf.me/u/yk5y4f #GetLouder is a rallying cry for all Black and Brown communities that have been disproportionately impacted by policing in America. It is an ethos, but is also a call-to-action that amplifies the act of voting as well as collective storytelling. We have to #GetLouder in and for Georgia because creating a Democratic senate is critical in setting us up to pass much needed legislation like the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act. By amplifying our voice and the voices of families who continue to live with the trauma of police violence, this campaign will build on Say Their Name podcast to further enforce the need for reform, accountability, and collective investment in making change. Duane’s family and his attorney speak about his unexpected death, and the lack of justice for them and other families in Florida.
Donate to Families - https://gf.me/u/yk5y4f
WARNING: CHIME #1 (skip ahead 2 minute 34 seconds) So after that fight, Tony did about an hour long Facebook Live, pretty much talking about all the trauma that he's experienced in his life, from being beaten from five years old, for 12 years. Not having the love of the family, not having the love of the community, being locked up for 15 years of his adult life. Pretty much being warehoused, not getting any treatment or anything like that. And one thing that when I saw it, and I know Tony from growing up. There are so many Tony's out there. And that's what drew me to the story. Whether it be the trauma, whether it be the disappointment, whether it be, people use you, all those kinds of things, and you never know when somebody's at their end. And Tony was clearly at his end. And so he said, in the video, he was going to find him, he was going to get revenge and kill him. And that it was going to have to be a standoff with law enforcement, because he wasn't going back to jail. And so the next morning, the people who he fought, live in the same apartment complex that he did. So he stayed over at a friend's house to avoid it, went home to change clothes, saw one of the guys, Malik and saw him sitting in the car, he approached him. There was a stab and both of them, ended up stabbed. Malik passed away. Tony was also stabbed. Tony then called, Wanda McDade, which is Tony's mom, on the way back to the apartment. And by the time they got back to the apartment, Tony noticed one law enforcement officer pulling up. So Tony walked over to the tree where you might've saw some of the videos. There was a tree where Tony was killed, and Wanda got out of the car, went straight to the officer and said, you got to help him. You got to help him. He's suicidal. Wanda McDade's mom still refer to Tony as a daughter, say, my daughter, she's suicidal, she's suicidal. You got to help her. They just kept approaching, another officer pulled up. And from what everybody was saying, didn't say much, it was barely out of his car, and shot Tony five times. They found shells inside the squad car. The original story, mom said that Tony didn't have a gun, law enforcement officer saying that Tony did have a gun.

WARNING: CHIME #1 (skip ahead 1 minute) At the same time, because they called it in, this other officer Fallis. had decided to just block off the parking lot and say, nobody in, nobody out, So Fallis was there, the other officers, the black officer and there was one other officer that came up the hill. Those officers are telling Fallis to stop that vehicle, stop that vehicle. So, when you read the report, it says that he was like, banging in the cars, bumper cars, and bumped this car, bumped that car, speeding through the parking lot. They’re saying, hey, stop. And the officer just started shooting and the first shot went straight through the windshield, hit him right away. And then he kept shooting. So it was a lot of bullets down the side of the car. So he kept shooting him as he drove away into the back windshield. But Duane, he didn’t make it probably about 200 yards down the street, car drove into the woods and he died right there on the scene.

They said that he got the call and he made a statement saying that I hope I don’t have to go kill nobody. Well, he told somebody that, and they told me, but they didn’t want to- Go on record? Go on record. They just- They told you that he said that he was going to end up killing one of them little young niggers out there on that medication. This is the same officer that went inside a church and dragged the man out and beat him. Threw him across the ground and broke his shoulder in front of a bunch of church members.

And I'm like, fall back, like what's going on? My daughter Shameka, she told the story, Because my daughter was standing right there looking. she watched everything. And she told me that it was like a little tussle thing. You know, Kaldrick jumped back in the tub, just probably afraid. And I don't know, if it was a battle or what, He shot him, then he grabbed him around and he laid him down to the floor. The last thing I heard Kaldrick say was, Meka, go get my mama.

WARNING: CHIME #1 (skip ahead 2 mins 3 seconds) He hesitated. He said, “Mr. Crawford, are you sure you want to?” I said, “Absolutely sure. I said, I’m giving you instruction, sir. Just don’t touch the body. He said, I got you. That’s fine. You want me to leave his body in the body bag, and just leave it in the morgue?” I said, ”Yes, and I will be there in the morning to view the body myself. I left that morning, took a trip right up the street there. He led me to the morgue, and he pointed to me, he said, “He’s right over there. I walk up to the gurney. He was on the slab then, and I unzipped the body bag. It was the most horrific thing I’ve ever seen, I wanted to. He said, “You okay?” I said, “Yeah, I’m okay.” I took my son’s, laid the body bag over. First thing I did was I took his arms out. I wanted to see for myself without the coroner's report. How many holes did he have in his body? I could see where his radius and all layers in one arm where the shot. Where it went through and exit and it broke it obviously. And then I lifted up his right arm and I could clearly see the enter and exit wounds. That one bullet, went through two arms, so I could see it. Then I looked and I could see where his upper torso, it was kind of coming at a slant that other one. He must have moved when that second one came in him, It was around the kidney on one end and up through the liver on the other end, so I could see both of those CHIME# 2 (skip ahead 2 mins 20 seconds) The police narrative was that John Crawford walked into Walmart. He was walking through the store. He picked up a BB gun that was sitting on the shelf. As he's walking through the store, there was a 911 caller that made the call that they believed that John was, or they gave the narrative that John was pointing what they believed to be a real rifle at patrons in the store. That 911 call was with a dispatcher. The dispatcher called the police officer. The police officer came to the store. He walked through the store. What he's indicated is that he saw John. He gave John multiple commands to put down the, what he believed to be a real firearm. John did not obey the commands. John, turned towards him in an aggressive manner with the gun pointing at the officer, and that's why the officer had to shoot and kill John. They said he was pointing the gun at people. And in the store at kids, And then he was standing facing the shelving in Walmart and talking on the phone and they shot him. People were shopping. There was a lady named... I think her name was Williams. That was with two little kids. She watched the whole thing and then she dropped dead.

WARNING: CHIME #1 (skip ahead 2 minutes 25 seconds) And Darkow, the Sergeant, actually saw my son first. He peeked out an aisle, he saw. He tried to issue a cadence to him, something to the effect, “Put your gun down,” or something. My son, he’s looking at items on the shelf, talking on the phone, with the airsoft rifle down to the side. And you can hear Darkow, while he’s trying to issue the cadence, Williams just comes around him, And while he’s still trying to get my son’s attention... Williams just taking it amongst himself to just circle inside him and shoot him, 300ths of a second my son is shot at 16 feet away, Me and Crawford and the boys was inside doing grandparent thing. I wasn't in there maybe 10 minutes, and LeeCee just started screaming. "Ah, Mr. John, Mr. John, they shot him, they shot him, they shot Looney." I said, "What did she just say?" "He's calling your name. He's calling, he's saying dad, dad..." I say, "Oh, shit." I jumped off the couch, ran out there. She was running towards us, "Tressa, John, Tressa." She is shaking like a leaf, man. I mean, that phone was about to hit the ground when I'd grabbed at it, Tressa grabbed at it. But I did get the phone from her and trying to call his name. I put him on speaker and calling his name. Of course there was no response. At the time you can clearly hear the paramedics have gotten there, and they said, "Try to stay, stay with us, stay with us sir, keep your arms, raise your arms, raise them and just try to stay with them." You can just hear the breathing and the gurgling, and the breathing. He was desperately trying to live. He said, "Just stay with us, stay us." All of a sudden, it just, there was this big, big exhale. And that was it.

WARNING: CHIME #1 (Skip ahead 2 mins 5 seconds) They said my brother could have survived. But if he would have survived, he would have been paralyzed, because when he was shot, he was shot in the abdomen and a bullet ruptured his spinal cord. So he would have been paralyzed, but he instead he died instantly, and he still treated my brother like an animal and handcuffed him, when proper procedure was to render aid. He was no threat, you shot him, he was no threat. He still didn't. So I'm just, I don't see how, after all the evidence was brought to them in a courtroom, they still found him not guilty. the people that trained him, even the chief of police even said that you're supposed to exhaust all resources before using deadly force. Nothing, nothing, and it's hurtful.

WARNING: CHIME #1 (skip ahead 6 minutes 4 seconds) And so then, I understand his wife murdered the children. Right. Are you okay speaking about what happened there? Mm-hmm (affirmative). Well, from my understanding, I had actually had just got off the phone with her the day before. And I was trying to get the kids from her because he was, Danny, was calling me from jail three-way. Somebody else telling me he was concerned about his kids and that I needed to go get them, So I was calling her, trying to get them as I did before, even when he was out of jail because she wouldn't necessarily let him come get them. So he would have to go through me to go get his kids so that he could see them. So I tried calling her and getting the kids and at one point she was just like, "No." she didn't want the kids around me or any of my family or anything like that. And it was just kind of like, I didn't understand why. "But you're saying that you need help from his family, I'm trying to help you and give you a relief from the kids for a while, just let me help you out." She just was not feeling it at all. She was just like, "No, I hate your brother. And my kids are never going to be around your family. Don't ever call me about my kids. Don't worry about it." But at the same time she was going through mental issues, I think she was bipolar or something. So, it was kind of like, okay, maybe this is just one of them days. so I'll try the next day. The next day became that day. And it hurt so much because it's just like, "I was just talking to her yesterday about the kids. I heard the kids in the background. Why would you do something like that? Why?" She called CPS, for CPS to come get them, the kids. And she told them, "I think I might do something. I don't think my kids are safe around me. I need someone to come get them" and stuff like that. And then they wouldn't, they didn't feel the need. They felt like there was no reason to. But you have the mom telling you, she's telling you, she's giving you a warning. Right? "If you don't take these kids something's bad's going to happen." They didn't take head to it and the next day... I believe it was overnight when she did it, because she was with one of my cousins. They're best friends. This is what I heard from my cousin, Nina, is that they were riding in a car. She has another son from a previous relationship, older. They're riding in a car and she went to drop the oldest son off with his dad because he lived with his dad and she went home. But my cousin was telling her that she was under so much stress that even my cousin offered to take the two youngest kids and keep them for a while and she didn't let her do it. So, she dropped her off at home and then she went home. My cousin said that she felt something bad, like you had that eerie feeling. She said that she was having that eerie feeling. And she kept calling and calling her, but she wasn't answering the phone. So she was like, "Yeah, I kept calling and she would never answer the phone." And I believe she said when she finally did answer the phone, she was saying something about, can she come get her or something like that, she needed to leave town or something. So, my cousin's kind of wondering why was she saying she needs to leave town all of a sudden, overnight. And she was asking her where the kids were and she was just saying, "Oh, they're okay. They're okay. But I need to leave town." It was like, "Are you taking the ...

WARNING: CHIME # 1 (skip ahead 2 minutes 40 seconds) Kind of almost dragged her over to the garage door and kind of threw her up against the garage door. He threw me against the garage door. And when he did that, Robbie pushed up and. And I lost it. I hopped up and said, "Get your fucking hands off my mom". And he didn't say a word. He never said, "Stay down. Get back down." Nothing. He pulled his gun. And I mean it was like slow motion almost. I remember, it really was like slow motion. Because I remember seeing him draw his gun and I was like, "He's not going to shoot me. He's not going to shoot me". And then the gun went off and I was like, "He didn't shoot me. He didn't shoot me". And then I started feeling this pressure, and fell back against the front door and collapsed. It was all slow motion. I saw the red, the fire from the gun because he shot him right in front of me. He was standing to my left and shot across me. So I saw the fire from the gun. And then I heard Robbie say, "Oh God." And then I knew he was hit. You could see smoke coming from his chest. For whatever reason in my little cartoon brain, I was thinking, "Well, maybe it was a rubber bullet". "That wasn't real", just in disbelief. And so I was laying on the ground and I put my hand up under my shirt and I pulled it out, and it was dripping in blood. Just covered, blood running down my forearm. And my mom said something like, "Oh my God, I can see smoke coming from his chest", or something. And the cop, real calmly said, "Ma'am, that's just the bullet tearing through the fibers of his shirt. Calm down, it's not a big deal". Well, I guess my knees gave out because I... My hands were still up and I slid against the garage door, down. And I said, I said, "Robbie call the name of Jesus." And I started praying. Just started praying, praying because I wanted him to hear me. I wanted him to be focused on my voice and I wanted him to pray. And I just said, "Call His name. Say His name. Call the name of Jesus." Like screaming, praying loudly, loud enough to where I would hear, but she started praying and they kept telling her to be quiet.

WARNING: CHIME #1 (skip ahead 2 minutes) But nonetheless, what they say is that while he was on the ground, Ringgenberg claims that his gun had shifted on his belt. Shouldn’t have been possible, but it did. And it was directly between Jamar and him. It’s on his back. And so it’s pressed into Jamar and he says, he’s trying to keep his hand on the gun and hold it in. He says he can feel Jamar’s hand around the gun. And he started screaming to Schwarze immediately, “He’s got my gun, shoot him.” Immediately and Schwarze just starts panicking and he yells at him, “Let him go. Or I’ll fire on you. Let him go” Yeah. A few times. And continually, while this is going on, Ringgenberg is, telling him to shoot Jamar. Ultimately he puts his gun to his head and he says, “I’m going to fire.” And he claims, Schwarze he claims that Jamar said, “I’m not afraid to die” It seems unusual. This is the very first words that Jamar has said to either officer at all. It’s just an unusual first statement to make. But Schwarze, he says, “that’s what he said.” And there’s no one to say it wasn’t. Schwarze he presses his gun against his head. You’re not supposed to do that. He was excited. And under stress. That puts the gun out of chamber. If somebody has an automatic weapon pointed, it’s semiautomatic, you can press on the barrel and it’s called putting the weapon out of chamber and it won’t fire. So he pulls it and he can’t do it. So, he had to pull back. He tells Ringgenberg, “Give me a second.” And he cocks the slide to reengage the weapon. And he puts it back to his head. He says, “I’m going to fire” This time he’s warning Ringgenberg. And he fires. And then at that point, they get out from under him. The press made a big deal of the fact that they found Jamar’s DNA on the weapon. And that’s pretty stupid. I mean, he was shot with an explosive weapon at point blank range. His DNA is on everything within a 20-foot radius. CHIME #2 (skip ahead 30 seconds) There was a young man, a 10-year-old little boy that witnessed Jamar being killed, saw the shooting. He even described the smoke that came from Jamar’s face after being killed. Usually he’ll come to the tree for the anniversary and birthday. Last year, he didn’t, so I believe his mom moved. But he makes it his business to come and give us a hug and just be there, I think about him a lot.
