Our very own Cam Jourdan joined me to witness the Paul George welcome party at the brand new Jones Assembly Wednesday in Oklahoma City. Other than the unbearable heat and my phone losing service during the media scrum -- thanks again ATT -- it was a fun day. While optimism and hope are on Thunder fan's side, the harsh reality of Paul George leaving after one year looms large. What is important to George? Winning or LA? Cam and I discuss that topic at length and also give our thoughts on the Thunder possibly moving into a new direction with how they run their organization and how that affects players.

This was an interesting show to say the least. In order to shed some light on the Enes Kanter detainment story I decided to use that History degree I earned in college as well as experience I gained by living in Turkey for two years. Talking politics/foreign governments/religion is not something I want to do again in this format, but because of my personal history in Turkey as well as Kanter's beloved position in the hearts of many OKC Thunder fans, I thought it would a productive show. Again, this was an incredibly brief history of the Republic of Turkey, its founder and the current leadership compared to the movement Kanter has chosen to follow -- and has since been vilified for it by his own government. Hopefully you find this show entertaining. Oh, and thank you for 19 seasons in the NBA, Manu.

We had a podcast earlier in the year where we discussed the MVP race and we both agreed...that Westbrook or Harden deserve it. With the loss of Tony Parker for the Spurs, we talked about how pivotal Game 3 for Houston is. To combat these sorrows I employed the help of a nice bottle of Merlot and my friend Derek Lewis to sort through all the thoughts, emotions and hot takes in the wake of the Thunder's loss to Houston. As always with Derek and I, we hardly agree on anything concerning Russell Westbrook. Derek doesn't even think Russ should be the MVP! Gasp! We run through some what ifs, hypotheticals and thoughts on how good this Thunder team actually is. I also reveal my true feelings on the play of Patrick Beverley. Don't drink and Pod, kids.

@BulletsForever writer Tony East joined to bring an Eastern Conference brand of basketball knowledge to the Peake Roll Podcast. Former OKC coach and current Washington coach Scott Brooks was the first major talking point. Everyone loves Scotty. While the Western Conference playoff chase will get more eyeballs locally, don't sleep on the Eastern Conference which appears to be more exciting on paper. Tony shared his thoughts on the East, the MVP race and his change of heart on Russell Westbrook. Sadly we weren't able to get Russ and John Wall to race in a 40 yard dash. Maybe Tony and I can race each other?

Oooohhh boy, what a game that was in Denver. Russell Westbrook notched his record-breaking 42nd triple-double and hit a stupid 38 footer at the buzzer to give Oklahoma City the win. Now that I've changed my clothes, I thought brining my friend and sports editor for the Guthrie News Leader Parker Burnett on to basque in the Westbrook glory. I've gone and done it -- I'm officially on the "Russ will win the MVP" bandwagon now. Parker and I went back and forth on what Westbrook's season means in the long term. Thunder Digest overlord Chuck Chaney joined the show again to speak on Russell Westbrook's historic tying of Oscar Robertson's 41 triple-doubles last night against the Milwaukee Bucks. I'm getting dangerously close to convincing myself that Westbrook will win the MVP... Hope is such a fickle thing. We even previewed (lightly I'll admit) tonight's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. A game which Westbrook could pass that great Robertson for first all-time in triple-doubles. We even dove into the Thunder Trade Machine and got our collective hopes up. Yippee!

Former Thunder Digest writer, current Seattle Seahawks writer for 24/7Sports and my friend, Derek Lewis (@drlewisbookit - not a doctor) joined the PR show today to debate the MVP race between Russell Westbrook and James Harden. We had a healthy debate a few days ago on Twitter over a recent Bill Simmons podcast where the Ringer host proclaimed "I don't know who the MVP is but I know its not Westbrook..." As always I struggled with numbers -- because they hurt my little brain -- and Derek continued to hurl them at me as if I was some invading enemy at the gates. To combat this tactic I brought up his kryptonite -- the James Harden trade. It was a great show about the philosophies voters and fans use to distinguish their MVP from year to year. Derek being a Spurs "fan," we previewed tomorrow night's matchup in OKC between the Thunder and Spurs. We don't think Pop is gonna sit anyone in this game. Richard Sherman was referenced. Mama Lewis, Derek didn't curse so you can listen to the show =).

After a few days off, I needed to get back on track with the show. So I thought bringing my boss and Thunder Digest Emperor, Mr. Chuck Chaney, would be the best way for me to be 100%. We reviewed yesterday's Houston loss, the MVP race not being determined by 1 game out of 82 and previewed tonight's matchup with our friends from Dallas. We got off onto a tangent (that will probably get us tons of lovely emails!) concerning Seattle and the SuperSonics. After that fun taboo subject we went down Thunder memory lane and talked about some of our best Thunder memories as fans over the years. Laugh and cry with us. What if Russell Westbrook doesn't get attacked by Patrick Beverley in 2013? What if the Spurs don't get upset by the Grizzlies in 2011 and beat OKC in the 2nd round that season? Find out!!

107.7 The Franchise in OKC host Colby Daniels stopped by to talk about that Thunder team we like. We appeared to be recovered from the shellacking that Golden State put on Oklahoma City the other night and looked forward to the team's possible performance in the postseason. Apparently Colby is aware of the #KevinDurantDrinkingGame and wants you, the listener, to drink -- its best to do what he says. Towards the end we had an excellent MVP discussion and even predicted what it would take for OKC to return to the upper echelon of the Western Conference.

If you have participated in the #KevinDurantDrinkingGame, I would advise you not play the game with this episode. The Golden State Warriors travel to OKC for the fourth and final game of the year. For a GSW perspective I brought back my friend from @BlueManHoop Ryan Viera to discuss the state of the Warriors during their recent skid sans KD and preview tomorrow night's matchup at the Peake. Of course we jumped into an MVP discussion -- Ryan's choice may surprise you -- and agreed on some silly justifications people are using for their votes. We even previewed what both GS and OKC will be like in the playoffs.

The Editor-in-Chief of 16WinsARing.com and Thunder Twitter jockey Adam Joseph woke up in the wee-hours of the Australian morning to talk OKC hoops. After Adam revealed to me that, yes, Australians celebrate St. Patrick's Day, we dove in to the Thunder's recent win over the Toronto Raptors (R.I.P Cory Joseph). Sadly, Adam had to sit through a 4 minute rant I had about silly justifications people are using for James Harden's MVP candidacy over Russell Westbrook -- which Adam also joined in on because he's a good sport like that. We squashed dumb narratives and stigmas that still surround Westbrook and even spent a few minutes on Kevin Durant's brother Tony...which is a few minutes too long. New Zealand listeners, Adam said something at the end...not me!!!

As one of the more memorable MVP races begins to wind down, Jenny Dial Creech of the Houston Chronicle joined the show to debate Russell Westbrook v James Harden. Jenny is a former Oklahoma Sooner, so we joined hands and grieved for our school not being involved in March Madness. While Jenny obviously is a Harden-lean, she has a soft spot for her old stomping grounds in Oklahoma and spoke about her appreciation for Westbrook's game.

KFOR Sports Reporter and general splash of Cali' sunshine Nikki Kay stopped by the PR Pod to talk OKC Thunder and NBA hoops. A former UCLA Bruin, Nikki and I got into the March mood by talking March Madness and college ball before getting into a conversation on the sad state of the LA Lakers. We recapped the Thunder's back to back wins against Utah and San Antonio and spoke at length about Victor Oladipo's resurgence. To cap it off, we went through the remaining schedule to predict if Russell Westbrook would tie or pass Oscar Robertson's triple-double mark of 41 in a single season. We seriously need to make the #KevinDurantDrinkingGame a thing...

FOX 25 in Oklahoma City sports anchor and Boston gal Sam Gannon joined the show today. We touched on the Thunder's big win Thursday night against the San Antonio Spurs. From OKC we bounced all over the NBA, including Waiters Island. Of course, we jumped into the MVP discussion. In between yet another PR Kevin Durant conversation and talk of Victor Oladipo's resurgence, I embarrassed myself by showing Sam how much of a nerd I am by showing her my in-depth knowledge of Star Wars and the Legend of Zelda... #ForeverSingle

Pounding the Rock and San Antonio Spur Twitter extraordinaire Quixem Ramirez (@Quixem) (@poundingtherock) joined the PR show today to talk Spur ball and preview tomorrow night's clash in Oklahoma City. We got into some pretty good discussion and debate over what constitutes an MVP winner ***spoiler Quixem likes Kawhi Leonard and I like Russ spoiler*** Among other things, we delved into the weird when we discussed combining Andre Roberson and Danny Green into one perfect 3D basketball player. My friend Erik Gee -- host of the G-Men show on 107.7 The Franchise in OKC -- decided to ride the lightning and join the show to talk about the recent Thunder skid. Erik and I love Metallica...so if you're one of those who believe they sold out after '91, hate them 'cause they sued Napster (rightfully so) or just genuinely don't care, I'll do you a favor and tell you that 12:08 is when the OKC Thunder talk begins =). We explored what the Thunder could do with their lineups -- how it affects the franchise and Russ moving forward -- and Travis talked about his wish for a Jayhawk takeover of the state of Oklahoma.

Had the pleasure of talking OKC and NBA basketball with the awesome Kacy Sager (@THESagerbomb), the daughter of THE Craig Sager. After a quick anecdote on her amazing father, we dove right into basketball. With All-Star weekend upon us, we ran through the Thunder's recent game against Golden State, as well as Kacy's experience covering the Thunder's Orlando Summer League players -- including Cam Payne and former player Mitch McGary. Speaking of players who have blown great opportunities, former Washington Wizard and Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket (Kacy's school) Glen Rice, Jr. is in the news for the wrong reasons. We talked up Kacy's NBA squad, the Atlanta Hawks and why Tim Hardaway, Jr. is great completion for the Most Improve Player of the Year award. The All-Star game circus surrounding Russell Westbrook and his former teammate -- as well as Russ' MVP candidacy -- was a fun topic. In between questions, Kacy explained her love for Steven Adams and how she would love to combine House Adams with House Sager. And of course, we ended with dumping on the New York Knicks.
