Michael Wagner, head brewer and production manager of Steel Toe Brewing, visits Corey and Ira in studio to talk about the St. Louis Park business. As one of the early entrants in the Minnesota craft boom, Michael talks about how Steel Toe set the stage for quality, well-crafted beer, and how they’ve strategically grown to meet demand.
Corey and Ira also spend time at the start and end of the show to reflect on 59 episodes of On Tap. Why, you ask? Because this is the last show as the guys plan to spend time on some other projects (and with their families), as well as enjoy beer without having to talk about it all the time. We thank all our guests, partners, friends (new and old) and listeners for your support for more than two years. It’s been a great time. We may occasionally pop in with an impromptu episode of us just chatting (no real format), so don’t unsubscribe just yet!
It’s also a big show for samples, with a variety of beers from Montgomery Brewing, Tilion Brewing, Shakopee Brewhall and Gluek Beer. What a way to go out!
And, as always, we discuss beers of the week; Andrew stops by for one last time to educate us about the style of the week.
This episode is supported by Craftapped, the best beer membership available in Minnesota.
