The human brain is an incredible organ. You see, our brains spend every single moment firing signals so we can simply exist. On November 15, 2004, investigators would get a firsthand look at just how powerful the human brain can be. Peter Porco, a 52-year-old state Appellate Division court clerk and married father of two, was a man of habit. Peter had a simple morning routine- as many of us do, and November 15th was no different. Peter got out of bed, changed out of his clothes, went into his bathroom to freshen up over his sink, walked down the stairs, made some coffee, emptied the dishwasher, packed a lunch, wrote a check, walked over to his front door and ...collapsed to the floor...in a pool of his own blood. In truth November 15th was different…. Very different. Join Lisa, Matt, Jules and our very special guest Melissa- as we unpack one of the most savage crimes we've ever covered and debate who we believe was to blame. In the end, only you can decide- did the punishment fit the crime?

Valentines Day 2014 began as a normal school day for the students of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Little did anyone know, a day most synonymous with love would soon become a day of absolute terror and would claim the lives of 17 innocent people and injure even more. Join Matt, Jules and Lisa as we unpack the days and months leading up to what is now known as the Parkland Shooting. Who is Nikolas Cruz? What causes someone to commit as mass shooting? Were there any warning signs? Are our teachers responsible for keeping our children safe? Is this a uniquely American problem? And lastly, did the punishment fit the crime?

According to Matt, everyone is one or two degrees of separation from a murderer. Today we put that theory to the test. Join Lisa, Jules, Matt and our special guest Shelby, as we discuss the horrific murder of Jan Bailey in her home Christmas Eve 1992. Immediately, all focus shifted to one particular person, however, no charges related to the crime were ever brought forth. Could this be due to the suspects ties with LAPD? Could it be because their alibi, while odd, checked out? Could this be because he really was not involved? Will justice ever be served in this case?
*all opinions in this show regarding the suspect are alleged*

Join Matt, Lisa, and Jules as we cover one of the most deadly serial killers of the 20th century, and yet still one of the lesser known amongst his peers as far as notoriety goes. Gary Ridgway operated over a span of decades, unabated by police. He killed sex workers in a region that was known for its mysticism and wild forest. As detectives closed in with the help of another infamous mad man, the Pacific North Wests' most prolific serial killer was broken down piece by piece until he became his only available defense witness...

Join Jules, Lisa and Matt as we discuss one of the most confusing and mystifying investigation, report, and final rulings to ever hit the true crime genre. Ellen Greenberg was found stabbed 20 times in the upper torso and neck region, with some stab wounds discovered as far as the back of her head. Leaving Ellens family, friends, and the world with more questions than answers, somehow her death was ruled as a suicide. To this day, law enforcement cannot explain how this ruling came to be given the plethora of evidence pointing the other way. We will do our best to fill in the numerous holes in the investigation and discuss once and for all- what really happened to Ellen Greensberg?

The holiday season is typically the time we reserve to spend with our families enjoying each others company. Every family has different holiday traditions- some cook together, some eat together, some give each other gifts, and some like to play games. Little did she know, this game night suggestion would set off an unimaginable train of events. Join Lisa, Matt and Jules as we talk about a case that still has investigators perplexed when discussing the motive. Put your headphones in and come join our discussion on whether or not we believe the punishments fit the crimes...

Join Matt, Jules, and Lisa as we discuss one of the worlds most notorious and infamous serial killers. He terrorized Milwaukee for over two decades, killing 17 people unabridged in the process before his crimes turned into 2022's most controversial Netflix series. His fear inducing and often stomach turning proclivities are enough to challenge even the most seasoned true crime fan. However, talking true crime is what we do best here- so fasten your seatbelts and grab your puke buckets because today we are talking about monster whose name should've been buried with him long ago. This is part two of Eye for an Eyes look at the infamous necrophile and cannibal- Jeffrey Dahmer.
