It’s clear from the conversation they both are slightly addicted to golf..when they of course have time. We talk about the PGA Tour and LIV golf and get into some course talk.
We round out the episode with our standard tap-in segment where each are asked questions that demand their quick witted response. Tune in now and let the easy listening begin. We know you’ll enjoy this one. Also - check out the full video on our YouTube channel.

Every episode on Chasin’ Birdies serves a different purpose. The one constant, though, remains the same and that’s our love for the game and pursuit of the chase. Today’s episode is no different. Lee Trevino sits down with us and gives us a look inside his career and golf as a whole from his vantage point.
The episode opens up with us having light banter with Lee. He gives us a glimpse of his early life before golf was even a thought. He tells the story of caddying and being around golf, but it wasn’t until after the Marines that he felt he had the game to compete professionally.
Lee takes us on a ride with a story about his first tournament, which he won. A 6x major champion, Lee tells us about his 1971 season, where he won the US Open, Canadian Open, and The Open Championship consecutively. He shares some insight early on with swing mechanics and how technology wasn’t available at the time to dissect the game like it is today.
We get into some stories about playing in the Ryder Cup with Arnold Palmer as the Captain. Jack Nicklaus, Sam Snead and Mo Norman stories, too. Sitting with a legend and hearing these stories don’t happen often. At the end of the day, we’re all still chasin’.
We round out the episode with Lee telling us about his daily routine at home and his new clothing venture with his son, Daniel. Although he doesn’t play much golf, he still hangs at the course every day. We finish up with our standard Tap-In Segment, where Lee is asked 4 questions that demand his response. Tune in, share, and enjoy. We know you’ll love this one.

The Connected Golfer..that can mean so many things when it comes to golf. Leo Herrera is just that dude, and he joins us today on Chasin’ Birdies to cover a lot of golf talk…and staying connected.
If you have social media, you may have seen Leo’s reels from time to time. If you haven’t, make sure you check him out. We open up the episode and talk with Leo about his pursuit of golf and his little range session with Viktor Hovland.
Leo considers himself an exhibition golfer who tries to grow the game at a high level through content and teaching. He explains his idea behind The Connected Golfer, and it all starts to make sense.
Leo talks about his win at the USGA Four-Ball at Chambers Bay in 2021, which was a wild story to hear. We chat about the development of golfers early on and whether or not someone just ‘has it’ in their ability to win events. Putter talk ensues..and it can’t be overlooked that the mallet putter is gaining popularity.
We pose the Golfer’s Dilemma to Leo and get his thoughts on whether a caddie’s performance on the course affects the tip at the end of the round. We round out the episode with our standard Tap-In Segment, where we ask 4 questions that demand his quick response. We cover a lot in this episode and a lot of good stuff. Tune in and enjoy the banter.

We love a good banter sesh. This week, that’s what we have. No guest on Chasin’ Birdies this week, but we do a good job filling the void.
We open up the show and touch on our tournament play at the Pine Needles Invitational. We talk about the misfortunes all golfers have on the golf course and a quick impromptu round at The Cradle.
We turn it over to the Anthony Kim / LIV talk. Is this going to be a good move for LIV or a big loss for the PGA Tour? We debate this and chop it up for a bit before we turn it over to this week’s PGA event, The Players.
We do a good job jabbin’ some humor at one another, and this episode is full of that. If you need a smile or a break from reality, tune in to this week’s episode and get to know your hosts a little more. As always, we appreciate the love.

JP Arencibia joins us this week on Chasin’ Birdies. We kick off our 4th season with a banger! By the way, thanks for the support along the way. We heart you.
We open up the episode with some cigar talk..like right away. JP and Pepe can’t help but salivate at the mouth when they hear the word ‘cigar.’ They both agree that smoking a cigar is a way to relax. Hmm.
We chop it up over what it was like growing up in Miami and the transition into the baseball world. JP fills us in on his whole baseball career. We get into the modern world of baseball and how these rule changes positively affect the game.
We get into some deep talk about mental health. JP opens up about some of his battles and discusses the thought process. Whether golfing or on the field, being able to stay present in the moment is key to success.
We end our episode with our standard tap-in segment AND the new addition - Golfer’s Dilemma, where we pose a dilemma scenario that we’re all familiar with! Tune in to this week’s episode and start your day off right!

Entrepreneurs are generally fascinating people. For us, we love to hear the success stories, especially when they involve golf. That’s the trend for today’s episode. We sat down with Mike Flaskey, former CEO of Diamond Resorts, to discuss all things life and golf and his new entertainment company.
We open up the episode and get into the early days. We talk about Diamond Resorts and the impact Diamond Resorts had on golf. If you watch any golf, you may remember some of the golfers wearing Diamond Resorts on their hats.
Mike tells us about the start of their entertainment platform that started with Colt Ford. This platform allowed for an entertainment aspect to be infused into the golf tournaments. We turn the episode over to some technical talk consisting of golf where it is today vs. golf where it was yesterday.
We jump ahead to when Diamond Resorts sold to Hilton. We ask Mike what it was like being in on this deal..and how he treated himself after the deal closed. His answer may surprise you.
We turn the episode over down the stretch and talk more about entertainment and golf. We chat about Isleworth and other great courses in FL. We end the episode with our standard Tap-In Segment, where we ask Mike 4 questions that demand his quick response. Tune in now to hear from a guy that we all could take a little inspiration from.

We’re back this week with a legend in his own right. Sean Avery sits down with us to talk about…well, a lot.
It’s always promising when a Guest comes on and says they don’t want to be doing this Podcast right now. We took lemons and made them into lemonade, and this episode is truly a favorite.
We open up with Sean, talking about his son, Nash. Apparently, Nash has a knack for the game of golf. How couldn’t he? He’s getting lessons from George Gankas.
The episode turns from us asking a question to Sean asking US questions. We dive into the difference between forged and cast irons. We get into talking about Hybrids and why most people don’t use them. When Sean asks us if Scotty Cameron still makes the best putters, we acknowledge they’re good but pro-Bettinardi over here. How he handles this is hilarious.
The episode turns over into more talk about golf, life after hockey, and what he’s into these days.
We finish up the episode with our standard Tap-IN segment presented by Bettinardi Golf. Tune in now and listen to this episode that will undoubtedly keep your attention from start to finish!

Michael Del Zotto joins us this week on Chasin’ Birdies. We gave him some shit in the beginning, comparing his recent appearance on Spittin’ Chiclets to now appearing on this show. Fortunately for us, he’s no stranger to golf.
We open up the episode and get a look at what he’s up to post-NHL life. He dives into the transition of life after he ‘retired’ and why Real Estate was something he ventured into after moving to South Florida.
He’s now responsible for booking golf trips for groups and celebrities. We get into some talk about playing golf in Northern Ireland and how we prefer to play those iconic courses.
We debate vibe over the quality of the course. Would you rather be at a club with a good vibe or one that has a championship-caliber course? In today’s modern golf, vibe is equally as important. We get into what’s important on the course as far as music and drinks..and why changing shoes in the parking lot is often a no-no.
We finish the episode with our standard Tap-In Segment presented by Bettinardi Golf. Tune in and listen to this fun-filled episode. Share, like, listen. We appreciate the love.

It’s 2024, and the first episode of the year. We’re back this week with a former NBA first-rounder, Courtney Lee. As golf junkies ourselves, we always enjoy hearing from another ‘pro’ why they’re hooked on this game.
We open up the episode and learn that Courtney just got off the golf course..literally. We talk about some golf in Florida and where he pegs it up. He tells us how he got into golf, thanks to Top Golf.
We get into some talk about his basketball career. After a college run at Western Kentucky, Courtney gets drafted in the first round of the 2008 NBA draft (22nd overall). He shares some stories about his playing time in the league.
Courtney runs with the best of them when playing golf. He tells some stories about playing in celebrity events and what event he hopes to land in sometime in the near future.
We talk about equipment and vibes on the golf course. As you hear, Courtney is no stranger to having fun on the course.
We round out the interview with our standard tap-in segment, where we ask Courtney some questions that demand his quick-witted response. Tune in now to hear this fresh episode. We think you’ll enjoy this one!

We’re back this week on Chasin’ Birdies with a guest who does that day in and day out. Andrew Redvanly, Founder of Redvanly, joins us on the podcast today.
We open up the episode and learn a little more about Andrew. Growing up in New Jersey, he tells us about his upbringing in sports (mainly hockey) and his early on dream of becoming a sports agent. Fast forward to after college, he decides to take a shot at offering some clothing pieces to clubs, and the beginning of Redvanly is underway.
After talking more about the apparel game, we get into some sports talk and chat about current day situations with some of our favorite sports teams. We hear a story about a time in Napa with one of his employees.
At the 39-minute mark, Pepe’s laptop shits the bed, and it just becomes a banter with Andrew and Bash. We talk more about golf and business and what it takes to be successful in today’s world. We talk in-depth about Chasin’ Birdies and what’s going on with the podcast.
Bash takes the reigns and attempts to handle the tap-in segment, but questions aren’t readily available, so this is done on the cuff!

We start off with Chris talking about how we Americans are always on time. He runs through some scenarios with golfers around the world and how their practice schedule differs from country to country.
We got into some talk with Chris about his early career in golf and trying to make it professionally. After coming close but not enough, he tells us how he ended up with Taylormade and working on global tours for them.
We switch over the talk and get into some analytics. Chris tells us some stories about guys on the tour and what some of their routines look like before an event. He also talks about a run-in with Paul McCartney that will have you laughing.
Chris started his own venture at Trottie Golf and lets us hear what his plan is now that he works on his own. Make sure you check him out on YouTube, people!

We’re back for another fresh episode of Chasin’ Birdies. Country singer/performer Mitchell Tenpenny joins us to chat all about life in his world and his slight addiction to the game of golf.
We open up the episode with some rehashing of the past. The three of us have known each other for some time now, but this is the first time we sit down and chop it up. We talk about his life lately and the tour he’s been on. With the Holidays approaching, Mitchell tells us about his slowdown that’s approaching.
We dive into some talk about the tour and where he’s been. How does golf play a role in their day-to-day affairs? MTP tells us why golf is used to break up the monotony of the typical tour life.
Being a musician is one thing, but being an entrepreneur with a passion to help is another. MTP encompasses both and shares a look at his charity and how he’s combating cancer. We also know he’s a sneakerhead. We touch on topics surrounding golf today and his Jordan collection.
We get a sneak peek into what 2024 will look like, including a tour with Luke Combs in the U.S. It’s safe to say Mitchell is on a rocketship with no slowing down.
We end the episode with our standard tap-in segment, where MTP is asked some questions that demand his response. Tune in, share, and like this episode (if you really like it).

With playoff baseball in the air, it’s appropriate to bring on this All-Star pitcher and hear what he’s all about. Mitch Keller joins us on today’s episode of Chasin’ Birdies. The Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher had a great season in 2023, and now, with the offseason in full swing, will he get some golf in?
We open up the episode and chop it up a bit with Mitch. Just getting back from Ireland, we thought there’d be some golf stories..but he didn’t play. We chatted about Ireland and all the golf that happens in that country, along with some stories from the trip last year.
We get the inside scoop of his early career in baseball and being drafted right out of High School. We turn the talk over to baseball now and what it’s like playing for the Pirates. Hitting the league in 2019, Mitch has grown in his role and looks to be hitting his stride into next year.
We turn the talk over to some golf. He grew up with basically a practice facility near his house, so golf came at an early age. Sneaking in golf before baseball practice was something he did on the reg. We flow through some more banter and yuck it up about everything from the offseason to golf trips and everything in between.
We end the episode with our standard Tap-In segment, where Mitch is asked questions that demand his response. Tune in now to this fun episode and hear from a rising star on his love for golf and baseball.

We’re back this week on Chasin’ Birdies as we head over to the NFL world. Danny Woodhead joins us in this episode to chat about all things life, football, and his passion for golf.
We open up the episode with Danny giving us a look into his early football career. Setting records in college, Danny was undrafted and ended up being scooped up by the Jets. He tells us the story of an injury that sets him back but only to be claimed thereafter by the New England Patriots.
We talk about what it was like playing with Tom Brady and for Bill Belichick. We get a glimpse into what practices were like with Tom tossin’ the pigskin. Staying on the football front, we talk about Super Bowl 46 and his move over to the San Diego Chargers.
Not knowing what to do after football, Danny’s wife told him he should take up golf. This small fire set blaze, and Danny tells us how now he’s totally hooked on golf.
Playing at a scratch, we talk about golf experiences he’s had and his passion. We have to admit, Danny is an equipment junky and gives us a look into what his set currently consists of.

This is a good one…a really, really good one. With Fall in the air, not only is golf still at the forefront, but basketball season is right around the corner. We are kicking it off with this episode and our guest, Cameron Johnson, who plays for the Brooklyn Nets.
We open up the episode and talk about his upbringing in the Pittsburgh area. Playing in the WPIAL opened a lot of doors for Cam, and sure enough, he found himself at the University of Pittsburgh playing D-1 basketball for the Panthers. After three years at Pitt, he left and joined UNC Tarheels for his remaining years of eligibility. He tells us what other schools he was considering and what playing for UNC was like, especially during the rivalry games with Duke. Cam opens up and tells us what it was like playing at Duke during their Senior Night…the story is so good.
We turn the page over to life currently and his time in the NBA. Drafted in the 1st round of the 2019 NBA Draft, he was traded to Phoenix and spent some time with the Suns. Recently, Cam inked a multiyear deal with the Brooklyn Nets and talks a little bit about his life in the NBA.
The fun starts when we start talking golf with Cam. New to the game, he is now an addict like us all. He’s got some goals to get his game up to par and gives us a look at how many thoughts are in his head when swingin’ the club.
We end the episode with our standard Tap-In segment, with the ongoing question of Jordan or Lebron? Tune in to hear this episode and a lot more from Cam.

We’re back this week on Chasin’ Birdies with a very close friend of the Pod. You’ve heard us talk about Steve numerous times on the show, and we are stoked to have him join us. As always, we’re all about people chasin’ birdies in life, and Steve has done just that.
We open up with Steve giving us a run down on his entry into the golf world. From leaving college early to being a hip-hop artist (true story), to catching a break with Bridgestone, and finally working for Nike, he tells us his story. This doesn’t come without several laughs, though.
The story transitions over to his gig now with Linksoul. If you’re a golfer or in golf, clearly you’ve heard of Linksoul. Steve got the nod to join Linksoul and now has grown to oversee sales across the US. We talk about the products Linksoul puts out, and Steve gives us a look at what the product will look like moving forward.
Steve carries an 8 handicap, so naturally, we get some laughs from him on the course. We turn the episode over to some golf talk and tell some stories about us playing golf with Steve. We touch on stories from Pine Valley to Pronghorn, and they come with many laughs. Bash tells the story of Steve and his 8-iron. The 8-iron story is gold.
We end the episode with our standard Tap-In segment where we ask Steve some questions that demand his quick response. Tune in to this week's episode..we know you’ll enjoy it.

Another episode, another cool story. Josh Booty joins us today on Chasin’ Birdies. Josh has had quite the life and has experienced many things that most of us won’t experience like playing in the MLB and NFL.
We open up the episode and dive into Josh’s past career. Growing up in Louisiana allowed him to play football and baseball. Playing college football at LSU helped him get into position to win. His baseball career took off and landed him in the first round of the 1994 MLB Draft. Soon thereafter, after serving some time away, he came back and, this time, took a shot as a QB in the NFL.
One thing that we have in common with Josh is our golf addiction. We turn the talk over and dive into some golf talk. Josh regularly plays in Nashville with John Daly and some other past guests of the show. As an Entrepreneur, Josh stays chasin’. Josh opens up about his new gaming company he is about to launch that changes the way betting is done. The story is interesting, to say the least.
We end the episode with our standard Tap-In segment, where Josh is asked questions that demand his quick response. Tune in now to this episode of Chasin’ Birdies. We know you’ll love it.

We’re back this week for an episode with your two favorite podcast hosts. No guest this week on Chasin’ Birdies, but that’s ok; we will keep you entertained.
We have a lot to cover since our last episode drop. We open up the episode with a lot of LIV Golf talk. Bash played in the Pro-AM at the LIV tournament at The Greenbrier. We talked about what that experience was like from start to finish. He was paired up with Peter Uihlein and Scott Vincent. He talks about what the pairings party was like and who showed up. A very interesting story takes place where he was mistakenly thought to be Abraham Ancer.
We navigate the episode over to some fun banter, and Pepe explains his recent golf adventures. Playing in his 4th Member-Guest of 2023, he comes up short again and gets waxed by some people with too many dots on their cards. Pepe tells us he spent some time in Nashville recently playing at Troubadour, but we can’t get him to tell us who he played with. We have to imagine, though, that it was someone famous in the country music scene.
We turn the episode over to some current-day golf talk and end it with no Tap-In segment! We will be coming back in two weeks with a new guest for your listening pleasure, but for now, we hope you enjoyed this light-hearted, humorous episode of Chasin’ Birdies! Thanks for all the love…we are sending it right back to ya.

Stori Snider from Bettinardi Golf sits down with us to talk (and tell stories) about…well, golf. Stori has been in the business for years and has a lot to talk about with his prior golf experiences.
It helps that Stori and Pepe have been friends for quite some time. In fact, both of them have a lot of commonalities. We open up the episode with Stori telling us how he got hooked on golf. He played some mini-tour events but eventually switched over to the club side of things. We talk about golf in the Western PA region and some of the players that have come out of here.
The episode rolls into ‘storitime’, where we talk about everything golf. We talk about the importance of being fitted for a putter. PEOPLE! Get fit for a putter! It’s that simple. Stori explains the science behind this and why it’s beneficial for your game. Example: George Birge.
We roll into some more fun banter and hear a story of having breakfast with Phil Mickelson. Stori tells us what was going on between Phil and Bones on the 13th hole in the final round of The Masters. And the coolest one so far…what happens when you get an Ace on National Golf Links? Tune in to hear!
We end the episode with our standard tap-in segment presented by Bettinardi Golf. Thanks for listening to this episode…if you’re a golf nut, we know you’ll love this one.

Listen up! We’re back this week with a very special guest and friend of the pod, Jon Barry. JB played numerous years in the NBA and worked courtside as an analyst for ESPN. Now, he does some weeknight commentary for NBA TV.
The episode opens up with us just catching up with Jon. We recap some nights we had at The Greenbrier during the Chasin’ Birdies Two-Man. Jon talks about his early years and playing college ball in the ACC. He talks about gearing up for life in the NBA and what propelled him into being drafted in the 1st round of the NBA Draft.
We talk hoops, and although we aren’t hoopers by trade, we discuss NIL and the landscape of college basketball today. This discussion bleeds into other college sports talk and how the NIL has changed all of college sports.
The talk turns over to the Lebron/MJ debate. We discuss which player had a bigger effect on the game itself. Who are you taking?? We talk a bit more about the NBA and how the game has changed since he played.
We turn the pod over to some golf talk, and we mention that Pepe is battling Lymes Disease. Pepe can’t help but to talk about some art that JB received from an artist called Pricasso. Check out Pricasso online and use your imagination.
We round up the episode with some golf talk. JB is a golf addict and plays on the reg. The episode ends with our standard Tap-In Segment, where JB is asked some questions that demand his quick reply. Tune in now to a great episode covering a lot of topics!

Nate Boyer joins us on today’s episode of Chasin’ Birdies. It’s safe to say Nate has accomplished a lot in his life, and we’re here to hear all about it.
We open up the episode with some banter, and Nate tells us his story of growing up in California. He tells us his favorite sport growing up was football, but never played a snap in his life. That is, until at 29, he walked on to the University of Texas football team. We aren’t talking about a junior college or D3, this is D1 Big 12 smashmouth football, and my man just rolls in and makes the squad.
We dive into his life after football. Serving in the military for 10+ years, Nate had a run-in with Colin Kaepernick that picked up some media attention. The two discussed what would be an ok way to peacefully protest the National Anthem, and it led to CP eventually taking a knee as opposed to the bench. Nate explains this story and lets us in on what actually went down.
We turn it over to his life now and his passion and love for creating movies. Nate directed the movie MVP which was released in 2022. The Tap-In segment ends the episode where Nate is asked questions that demand his quick response. Tune in now, share, and listen to a man who is innately winning in life.

We’re back this week on Chasin’ Birdies with Hailey Ostrom. The social media influencer has done more than just chase birdies on the course. She’s amassed a social media following that allows her to be one of the top influencers in the golf world. And her game is on par, too.
We open up the episode with a bit of a banter from Pepe & Bash! US Open recap, Chasin’ Birdies Two-Man talk, and what else those two have been doing since our last drop. Collectively, they’ve played 216 holes of golf in two weeks, so there’s a bit of a lot to catch up on.
We roll this into our interview with Hailey. Although golf talk will naturally exist, Hailey tells us what her workout regime is like. One of us likes to work out, too, so it was an easy topic to open up the interview with.
Hailey grew up in Bend, Oregon, and if you’re a listener of the show, you know that Bend is where Bash plays every fall in a two-man event. We chat about where her love for the game of golf came from and how she got into the game. Hailey explains to us why she had to turn Pro and what the consequences would be if she kept her Amateur status. She explains that she didn’t fall in love with golf until college.
We turn the episode over to some LIV golf talk. Hailey played in the Pro-Am and was paired with Caitlyn Jenner. She tells some stories about this experience and what some of the guys on the LIV tour told her about their reasoning for leaving the PGA Tour. Also, her pairings party story is epic!
We chat more about life, golf, and her pursuit of birdies. We turn the episode over to our Tap-In segment, where we ask Hailey some questions that demand her response. Tune in now to hear this badass episode with one badass girl. We know you’ll enjoy this one!

We are back this week with another episode of Chasin’ Birdies, and it is just us on the mics! This banter session is long overdue, and we get into some good stuff.
Chasin’ Birdies heads to The Greenbrier this weekend for the first annual Chasin’ Birdies Two-Man. 24 guys..2 courses..and 1 helluva good time. We run through the players involved and get a look at how this event is shaping up to be. We talk about the event that took place at Nemacolin with the Playin’ Through group. Tyler Reeve, Cole Taylor, and Cole Swindell rocked the place, and we all got absolutely rocked in our own ways.

Nothing pairs better with a sunny day of golf than some music playing and a drink of choice in the holder. Whatever music you’re into, it surely elevates the vibe. For us, we enjoy hearing three chords and the truth. That’s exactly what our guest today puts together for a living. Thomas Archer joins us to talk songwriting in Nashville and his pursuit of birdies.
We open up the episode and hear about his background. It wasn’t too long ago that he moved to Nashville to chase a dream. Growing up in Georgia allowed him to dig into the roots of country music AND golf. Now it’s all come full circle.
Thomas hooks up with a guy by the name of Luke Combs early on in his career. It wasn’t until 3 years later that the song they wrote caught fire and changed his life. This song is called Hurricane…may have heard it? If you ever heard the song “Lovin’ On You,” there’s reference to a birdie on a Par 5…that’s straight from TA’s mind.
He just recently completed a write with Morgan Wallen and landed a song on his new album called “Keith Whitely.” He explains the ins and outs of this song and how it went through some changes before finally being a song that would make the album. We turn the episode over to some golf talk and catch up on where he plays, who he plays with, and how his game is shaping up headed into this summer. We end the episode with our standard Tap-In segment, where Thomas is asked 4 questions that demand his quick-witted reply. Tune in now, share, and enjoy this episode! We hope you enjoy it!

If you’re a regular fan of this podcast, you know that we like to switch it up a bit when it comes to our guests. Whether it’s from the NFL or a motivational speaker, we enjoy hearing our guests talk about their life and why they’re addicted to golf. On today’s episode, we switch it up even more and are stoked to bring Chase Chrisley on the podcast. Chase is more known for his TV acting, but the man has a knack for podcasts, too.
We had the pleasure of hanging out with Chase for a couple of days, and naturally, we opened up the episode with our disaster of a night at the Casino. We dive right into TV talk: How did the show come about, and what was it like? Quickly rising to fame, Chase tells us about an experience hosting a pool party with Diddy.
We get into some talks about the media and how they want content to write their story when one is at a low. Chase touches on the ins and outs of what his family has dealt with in the recent past. He gives us a look into his life currently and what his family is dealing with.
The episode turns over to some lighter moods, and golf talk persists. Chase talks about his newfound love of golf and where he pegs it. Living in Nashville, Chase recently started a real estate brokerage and is becoming more involved in his outside business ventures.
We round out the show with our standard tap-in segment presented by Bettinardi Golf…and then extend the show just a little bit longer.
Tune in NOW to hear a great episode of Chasin’ Birdies with a young man who has a bright future ahead.

We’re taking it over to some technical talk on this week’s episode of Chasin’ Birdies. The Kingdom is owned by Taylormade and is located in Georgia. Sean Cain joins us to talk about what life is like at The Kingdom and who’s coming by to get their golf swing ‘tune-up.’
Sean tells us a brief overview of how he got into golf. Although he was into racing and racecars early, his great-uncle owned a golf course, and that’s how he caught the bug. After playing golf and getting injured, he decided his passion for teaching was right in front of him and explained who he helped with their early golf development.
We talk about the youth in golf and what it takes to make it in golf. You either got it or you don’t. Sean gives us a look into Taylormade and their R&D on products. Although he doesn’t have specific information, he gets a preview every September to see what products will launch the following year.
Sean gives us insight into the club fitting setup at The Kingdom. The good part is it’s open to the public. He takes us through the whole fitting process at The Kingdom. They use advanced technology to get you fit into the right clubs for you. Listen to this episode, get amped up, and schedule yourself a fitting at The Kingdom.
We round out the episode with our standard tap-in segment presented by Bettinardi Golf. Tune in and share! For you golf nuts out there, this is golf from a different level of perspective.

As the golf season is set upon us, so is baseball. We catch up with current Chicago Cub Ian Happ on today’s episode of Chasin’ Birdies. Happ, who won a Gold Glove in 2022, can’t kick his golf addiction, and the question is: What game does he love more?
We open up the episode and discuss his current partnership with Greyson Clothiers. If you check out his Instagram page, my man is decked out in Greyson to the max. Ian explains how this relationship was formed and what it’s all about. We dive into Ian’s early years in baseball and how he chose Cincinnati as his college program.
We talk a bit about baseball and what it’s like being on the road and still managing a golf game. Ian clearly doesn’t miss any chance to play golf and is actively lining up golf spots while on the road.
Ian is a golf equipment junkie. He tells us what he’s currently playing down to the specific grinds of his WEDGES. It comes as no surprise he’s rolling it with a Bettinardi, as he has a nice little deal going with them. We talk more golf and hit on the courses that are in and around Chicago. When he’s back in Pittsburgh, though, what is his favorite course to play? You’ll have to listen to hear.
We end the episode with our standard Tap-In segment presented by Bettinardi Golf. Tune in now and listen to another fun-filled banter with a Professional in one sport being a professional amateur in another sport. Like. Share. Thank you for the love.

This week’s episode of Chasin’ Birdies is a first for us. Not only is it a first ‘live’ podcast, but it’s also a first for being well over an hour long. We sat down with Eric Tangradi (NHL) and Neil Walker (MLB) for a live recording at X-Golf in Wexford, PA. The sounds of balls being ripped in the simulators add the perfect amount of background noise in this episode.
We open up the episode and introduce our friends, Neil Walker and Eric Tangradi. They both tell their story of how they’ve chased birdies in life, have had successful professional sports careers, and how they’re doing in today’s world of chasin’ birdies post-retirement. Neil’s humbleness, coupled with Eric’s persistent humor, makes for some great laughs early on.
The episode takes a turn when we start telling stories centered around golf trips. Eric clogs a toilet in Pinehurst after eating 100 McNuggets in under 3 hours, while Neil breaks away from batting practice to hit the links while on the road.
We tell more golf stories and talk more golf. On a serious note, we discuss an issue in youth sports where kids are spread too thin chasing their dream. After some serious discussions, we get back to the lightheartedness and talk more golf. We round out the episode with our top 5 courses we’ve played…not top 5 that we want to play.
Tune into this episode to hear a great banter over a few cold beers. If you are in the Pittsburgh area, please visit X-Golf in Wexford. The place is a great spot to get your game in check. Share, like, listen, and listen again. We enjoy making you smile.

We are stoked to bring you this episode of Chasin’ Birdies with former NFL DT and current ESPN football analyst Booger McFarland. We love knowing that although we didn’t win a Super Bowl or can’t do play-by-play playcalling, we still have golf as our common denominator with Booger.
We open up the episode and talk with Booger about what’s going on in life and how he gets his golf fix during his busy season. He explains how he got into radio in the Tampa Bay market.
We asked Booger, “Why golf?” He tells us how he got started in golf and why he’s addicted. We also learn that if you’re going to play with Booger, you better play fast, or he’ll leave you behind. We hear Booger’s thoughts on Oakmont..like it, love it, or hate it?
We dive into more golf talk and hit on some points about pace of play. LIV Golf vs. PGA Tour talk ensues. Booger explains his perspective on LIV Golf and how that tour will now co-exist with the PGA Tour. Is he a fan of LIV? You’ll have to listen to hear.
We end our episode with our standard Tap-In Segment presented by Bettinardi Golf, where Booger explains his most memorable round of golf as well as the best player he’s played against in the NFL! Tune in now to listen to this fun-filled episode..we know you’ll enjoy it.

This week’s episode of Chasin’ Birdies brings on a familiar face and a past guest, Rocco Mediate. We catch up with Rocco to talk all things golf while he’s on a break between tour events. What has he been up to? Listen to find out.
The episode opens with some good banter. He competed in the Chubb Classic and talks a little about his game and how he still has some work to do to get ready for the 2023 season. We talk, of course, about the GOAT, Tiger, and why nothing he does is surprising after an impressive finish at Riviera.
Speaking of another GOAT, Rocco gives his perspective on playing Grove XXIII. He tells a story about him and Michael Jordan having a chat before pegging it up.
For you club junkies, we get into some technical talk about shafts and different clubs. Rocco explains what he’s thinking about doing to change his setup. We chat more about golf, LIV Tour, and other golf-related topics. We end the episode with our tap-in segment, where we ask Rocco some questions that our followers wanted us to ask!
Tune in now! We know you golf nuts will love this one.

Whether it’s golf or any other sport, we’re all about it on Chasin’ Birdies. Today’s guest is a perfect example of one who can’t get enough of golf but has been chasin’ birdies in life their whole career. Bob Pompeani from KDKA Pittsburgh joins us on this episode of chasin’ birdies. In fact, Bob just received the Sports Broadcaster of the Year award for 2022.
Bob was a little late to the tee…so we had to cut the interview short. We open up the interview and talk about how he got on the professional path he’s been on now for over 40 years. Bob fills us in on why he wanted to be in the sports world after dealing with some heart issues early in life.
We talk more about sports and specifically the Steelers. He gives us his opinion on where they’re headed and what the future could look like. We do love talking golf…but with a sports broadcaster on the line, we have to include some other topics outside of golf.
We turn the episode over to some golf talk. We make mention of all the great courses that exist in SW PA. Bob has a great plan, in theory, to bring a new kind of golf tournament to the Tri-State region. We elaborate on this a bit and hear some stories from the Mario Lemieux golf tournament…including red wine on a white suit. Good stuff, Bob!
We end the interview with our standard Tap-In segment before Bob has to run off and be a pro on TV. If you’re a Pittsburgher, you’ll love this episode. Share, listen, and like…we appreciate the love! Enjoy it!

This week’s episode of Chasin’ Birdies consists of your two favorite hosts yucking it up over some golf talk, winter blues, and a Patrick Reed rant from Pepe. Tune in now for a fun filled episode that will get you chucklin’.
Part of a Podcast is knowing the host(s). We like to drop our banter sessions from time to time..and this week’s episode was NOT planned. After a recording failure with a high profile guest, we decided we’d take over the mics and bring you some February sunshine when you need it most.
We open up the episode and dive into what’s going on right now in the world of golf. New equipment is out and we talk a little bit about what’s going in the bag this year. Bash explains his Titleist mishap with ordering golf balls for the 2023 season.
We turn the episode over and recap this week’s PGA Tour event at Torrey Pines. What happened to Sam Ryder? Pepe goes off on Patrick Reed and golf talk ensues.
We yuck it up the rest of the episode and bring you up to speed with us...what we’re doing…where we’re playing..and asking ourselves why? You know the feeling.
Enjoy this week’s episode..we think you’ll like it.

You know you’re guilty of this…showing up to the range 20 minutes (if you’re lucky) before your tee time and ‘trying’ to stretch. Swing a heavy club, touch your toes, loosen up with a wedge..we all do it. But the real work is done in the offseason. We dive into some good stretch talk with Kyle Valery and Chris Wilke from Stretch Affect in San Diego, CA.
The show opens up with a basic understanding of how Kyle and Chris came to be business partners. They’re both experts in their respective fields. They are trying to grow their brand awareness to the masses and help people gain more mobility. Kyle explains how Stretch Affect came to be.
We turn the episode over to some golf talk. Firing up the glutes? Chris explains that this happens over a long course of time…not just in 5 minutes before your round. Having a good stretch regime will go a long way with your golf game. We dive into more golf talk and share some laughs.
We end the episode with our standard tap-in segment, where Kyle and Chris are hit with questions that demand their quick response. Check out this episode of Chasin’ Birdies and get your body moving in the right way. Stretch Affect can be found online. Tell them the Chasin’ Birdies boys sent ya.

New year..new episode..and a new topic for discussion on Chasin’ Birdies: Food. On today’s episode, we bring on Starvin Marvin Jr to chat it up about his food obsession. Since COVID hit, his Instagram handle has grown, and he posts some pretty amazing creations that he makes in the kitchen.
We open up the show and talk about who is Starvin Marvin Jr and how in the world did this happen? His real name is Pat, and he actually has a REAL job. Like us and Chasin’ Birdies, ‘Starvin Marvin Jr’ is his side gig. We get into some discussions on how he decided to start this venture and what he likes to cook.
By mid-episode, you’ll be starving. We turn the episode over and discuss how golf clubs across the country are all known for their ‘one’ thing they serve. Whether it’s the Milkshakes at Muirfield Village or Turtle Soup at Pine Valley, golf and food really do go hand in hand. We also learn firsthand that Starvin Marvin does NOT have a brother. You have to listen to the episode to understand this one.
We end the episode with our standard Tap-In segment presented by Bettinardi Golf, where Starvin is asked four questions that demand his quick answers. Tune in now to this fun-filled episode! We guarantee you’ll catch a few good laughs!

Christmas is right around the corner. With our final episode of 2022, we turn the mics over to ourselves and are happy to bring you this little banter sesh. We think you’ll like it. But then again, we won’t make any promises.
The episode opens up with us talking about our current life situation. What’s been happening? What’s new? We dive into our reflection period for 2022. Chasin’ Birdies hit some great growth goals this year, and it couldn’t have happened without YOU.
We sometimes like to bring on a guest randomly. One of our friends who we talk about often on the show…or even call a past guest to catch them off guard. This week, it was our intent to have a guest on, but it didn’t work out. That guest was Mr. Steve Pirring. For those that don’t know Steve, he’s a tall, slender, 8-handicapper that will grind his way around a course just to break 80. We compare Steve to a friend we all have in our group…and if you listen, you’ll understand what we’re talking about.
We round out the episode with our gratitude and thanks to our friends, fans, and sponsors for helping us get to this point. From all of us here at Chasin’ Birdies, THANK YOU for an awesome 2022. We can’t wait for you to hear us again in 2023. Happy Holidays!

Gabe Landeskog joins us on today’s episode of Chasin’ Birdies. The Swedish NHLer won the Stanley Cup in 2021-2022 with the Colorado Avalanche, and just like us; he can’t get enough of chasin’ that white ball around.
We open up the episode and touch briefly on the great state of Colorado. Pepe asks for a look-in at Gabe’s offseason and where he goes during that time. Gabe explains how he got his start in the hockey world and how he moved over to Toronto from Sweden. 2011 hits, and he’s taken 2nd overall in the draft by the Avalanche.
The episode turns over to Stanley Cup talk, where Gabe explains the vibe that the team had while chasin’ the Cup. Although coming up short in previous years, he felt the shortcomings were necessary to reach the end goal: winning the Cup. Managing the momentum shifts takes synergy, and that’s what they did in the 2021-2022 season.
What’s in the Cup? Pepe can’t help but ask what drink of choice landed in the cup after the win. Gabe discusses the handling of the Cup and the parties that ensued.
Golf talk happens late in the episode, and Gabe expresses his love for the game. We tell some fun golf stories and talk a little about what we amateurs do on the course to mess up a good round. After some golf banter, we end the episode with our standard Tap-In segment, where we ask Gabe 4 questions that demand his quick response. Tune in now to this episode and share! People of the universe…we are stoked to bring you this new episode of Chasin’ Birdies. Today’s guest is well-known on the PGA Tour. Not because of his driving distance or putting skills but because of his being a top-tier caddie for Rickie Fowler and Tom Kim. Joe Skovron joins us today to talk about golf..and more golf.
We open up the episode by diving into Joe’s early career and how he linked up with Rickie Fowler. Joe tells the story of him getting the nod from Fowler and how the relationship just took off from there.
We touch on what it was like caddying for Rickie and hone in on some pretty cool moments. Joe tells us what it was like caddying for Rickie during his first PGA Tour career win and the mood at the 2015 Players Championship.
Getting to know how the caddie world works, Joe tells us stories on prep and how it differs from a major to a normal tournament. Does it really differ? We switch over to some talk about his new role with Tom Kim and how he’s excited for this opportunity.
The show ends with our standard Tap-In segment presented by Bettinardi Golf, where we ask Joe 4 questions that demand his quick reply. Tune in for this one, golf lovers. We know it will keep ya hooked!

Cole Taylor has written songs for some big country artists. Cole Swindell, Jason Aldean, and Florida Georgia Line, just to name a few. He does, however, try to write a few birdies on the scorecard from time to time.
We open up the interview and learn a little more about Cole. Growing up in Georgia and already friends with Cole Swindell, he had music in his blood. Coming up 13 hours short of his degree, he rounded up some money and moved to Nashville.
We talk about life in Nashville and what that whole scene looks like from his perspective. We learn that a song cycle from writing to radio could take up to two years. Cole also has a collection of 650 songs written…650!?
After some more music talk, we finally transition over to golf talk. He had a chance to play Augusta National, so we chat a little about that. During COVID, he, Cole Swindell, and Tyler Reeve started Playing Through group. This business venture allows them to play private shows at different clubs and tie in golf. Yellowstone Club, anyone?
We wrap up the show with our standard tap-in segment. Tune in now and share with a friend. Great episode that will keep your attention throughout!

We all love to chase birdies on the course. Like golf, life has its ups and downs. That’s the case for Damon West. Author of “The Coffee Bean,” Damon has positively impacted thousands of people after his life was changed while in prison.
The episode opens up with us diving into Damon’s early life. A football QB, Damon found himself addicted to drugs. While in some trouble with the law due to a criminal organization he was behind, his life was unraveling. We ask Damon about his life at the time and what went through his mind while hitting rock bottom.
We turn the episode over to talk about his prison sentence. After a brief jury deliberation, he found himself facing nearly 70 years in prison. During his time, he met a man named Mr. Jackson. Mr. Jackson told him a story about a carrot, an egg, and a coffee bean. From this point forward, Damon had a new outlook on life. He explains what this felt to him and how he was able to successfully be released from prison after a shortened sentence.
After some more talk about his life and what he’s into now, we turn the episode over to our standard tap-in segment. People, please share this episode. We believe you will find this one interesting, as well as one of the deepest, more serious episodes we’ve released.

In a world that’s full of competition, it’s hard enough to keep your squad relevant in the college sports world. It’s even harder to build a program from scratch…and only have one year to recruit. That’s exactly what Sean Covich had to do when he was hired to head up the Men’s Golf program at WVU. Work in a cubicle, recruit and be ready for Fall golf in twelve months.
We open up the episode and learn a little more about Sean. He’s originally from Mississippi and played college golf at a Junior college. After catching wind that WVU was looking to have a golf program, Sean threw his name in the hat, and the rest is history. We talk about his move from the South up to Morgantown, WV, and what this new role entailed.
We talk more golf and dive into plans for the program’s future growth plans. After some banter, we end the episode with our standard Tap-In segment, where we ask Sean 4 questions that demand his quick-witted response. Be sure to tune in to this episode, share it, and nod your cap to what Coach Covich has done in such a short period of time.

This week’s guest is no different than our past guests on Chasin’ Birdies…well, maybe he is. James Wisniewski joins us on this week’s episode of Chasin’ Birdies to talk about all things golf, hockey, gambling, and more! Hailing from Sherwood Country Club, James stays chasin’ birdies on the reg.
We open up the episode and dive into some hockey talk. James had a phenomenal career in the NHL playing in over 550 games. He was a member of Team USA in the Olympics and achieved much success on the ice. We talk about the current NHL landscape and what’s going on in the league today.
We transition the episode and get right into golf. A scratch golfer, James is a golf addict to a ‘tee.’ We talk about his time at Muirfiled Village in Dublin, OH, where he became friendly with Tour players such as Jason Day. We get a peek into the on-course games that they played and how much money was on the line.
We talk about playing golf across the pond in Scotland and why golf is a sport that is much better with a good group of friends and a couple cold beers. We banter back and forth about golf, and some funny stories are told. You’ll just have to listen to hear them firsthand.
We transition the episode over to our tap-in segment, where Wiz is asked questions that demand his quick response. For hockey lovers and golf lovers, this episode won’t disappoint. Tune in NOW and let us know what you think!

As we open up the episode, we admit that Roger was hard to nail down..and we weren’t kidding! We are stoked to have Roger on today’s episode of Chasin’ Birdies to talk all things life and golf with Roger.
We start off by diving into Roger’s beginning into the game of golf. His Father was a big influence on his love for the game. Growing up outside of Chicago led to many opportunities surrounding golf.
Although Roger has an Engineering degree, he discusses his rediscovered love for golf. Playing in corporate golf events sparked his love again for the game. COVID hits, and during this time while in LA, he started the creation of his brand. This included Hipe Media and other golf-related endeavors. We discuss these changes in his life and how he’s on a growing path that was created by himself.
We transition the episode over to what’s ahead for Roger and how he intends to keep building his brand. With sponsors by Callaway, Nike, and other endorsers, he’s got ample amounts of opportunity in front of him. As a side note, he’s passionately involved in youth development towards golf.
We round out the episode with our standard Tap-In segment, where we ask Roger some questions that demand his quick-witted response. If you don’t follow Roger on IG, you’re missing out! Be sure to give this episode a listen and feel free to share the love!

We have a special episode drop of Chasin’ Birdies today with Mark Brant. We need to pay homage to the troops and those who protect this great Country, and no better way to show that love than with a guy whose golf career came AFTER the military.
We open up the episode and discuss with Mark his college days at Murray State and how he transitioned over to the Air Force Special Warfare division. A Pararescueman (aka PJ) is not the route everyone wants to take. For Mark, it was in his blood, and he took on the role without any questions.
The episode transitions into some battle stories, and we ask Mark about what it’s like jumping out of a plane in the middle of nowhere. We also can’t help but ask novice questions like, “Do you carry your cell phone when jumping?”
After some military talk, we turn over to the golf side of things, where we learn about where Mark is right now relative to where he wants to be with his professional golf career. We talk about his qualifiers and his love for Pinehurst, NC, where he was stationed not too far from there.
We end the episode with our standard tap-in segment where we ask Mark questions that demand his quick reply. Watch out for Mark to see if he breaks through! Thanks for your service, Mark, and good luck chasing your dream. This episode is a feel-good episode that will go well with a nice chocolate brownie.

Every now and then, we like to bring on a guest who’s either a pro golfer or one that is a helluva lot better than us two. Today’s guest accomplishes just that. We welcome Ben Carr on today’s episode of Chasin’ Birdies. The Georgia Southern 5th-year senior battled hard in the U.S. Amateur Championship, where he ended up losing 1-down to Sam Bennett.
We open up the episode and talk to Ben a little about his background, how he got into golf, and what propelled him to be where he is today. It’s no wonder he has a strong grip considering he thought baseball would be his ‘sport.’
After a couple minutes of talk and a shout-out to Mason Williams, we can’t help but dive into the 2022 U.S. Amateur talk. Ben wasn’t sure he was going to even qualify for the event, but after a few good rounds, he found himself advancing past the first set of matches with a 7 and 5 victory.
Ben found himself 5 down after 22 holes but managed to rally with back-to-back birdies before taking this match all the way to the 36th hole. The emotional roller coaster was real, and hear it firsthand in this interview with the 2022 U.S. Am runner-up.
We transition over to our tap-in segment, where Ben is asked 4 questions that demand his quick-witted response. We promise you, a few of these questions have never been asked before. Tune in, share, and let us know how you like this drop. Good luck to the 2022 GASO Men’s Golf Team…keep chasin’.

We open up the episode and talk about where Haydn grew up in Western Canada. Hockey was innately in his blood, and it wasn’t too long after before golf was, too. We talk about his new deal he just inked and how his golf game is going to shape up down in Tampa. Maybe we should be focusing more on hockey?
We turn the talk over to some golf talk and what it was like playing golf in Ireland with the boys. We witnessed this man hit some deep BOMBS resulting in some (close) birdies. We get on the LIV golf subject and talk about what the hell is happening in pro golf!
After some more banter, we end this episode with our standard Tap-In Segment, where we ask Haydn some questions that demand his quick-witted response. Tune in, share, and sit back for a fun-filled episode that will lead to severe smiling…just like Haydn.

The bottom line is this: we all love golf. Whether we’re interviewing a country singer or an athlete, golf always is the common denominator. Although you may not know our guest this week, it’s apparent his golf game is up to par.
We welcome Noah Mullens onto this week’s show. The 2022 West Virginia State Amateur Champion sealed the victory at The Greenbrier by firing a four-round total score of -5. He definitely chased birdies…and caught them.
We open up the show and talk about Noah’s upbringing from a rural town in Western WV. After a short stint in SC, Noah transferred back to Marshall University, where he competed on the Men’s Golf Team. Ironically, Pepe was a former Marshall Golf standout. The two banter back and forth about Marshall golf and share some stories.
We transition over to how Noah got the W and what was going through his mind. After the final round became extremely close, Noah used an eagle on the 17th of the Old White to help secure his three-shot victory. Hats off to you, Noah.
We wrap up the episode with our standard tap-in segment and put Noah on the spot for some quick-witted answers. For an off-week episode, this one slaps! Tune in, listen, share, and hear from a Champion on the Amateur circuit.

If you follow us on social media or even listened to past episodes, you know that the 2022 Ireland trip was highly anticipated. Now, it’s over. We bring you this episode as a Pepe x Bash banter sesh and call in three of our buddies who were on the trip. We talk golf, travel, and what it was like playing across the pond. Our lineup of courses we played is Portstewart, Portrush, Royal County Down, Ardglass, The Island, and Portmarnock. If you haven’t been, you better go.
We open up the episode and phone in our first guest, Brandon Katzeff, aka BKatz. We take his perspective on the trip and hear his thoughts. We ask what his most ‘miserable’ moment in Ireland was..because, let’s be honest, sometimes the course will get the best of ya.
We then phone in our second ‘guest,’ Brian John, aka Bimmer. Bimmer carries a smile wherever he goes. Fortunately, his smile and positive attitude helped to carry him through the links. We hear Bimmer’s take on Ireland, and his excitement can’t be missed. Bouncing like a kangaroo, everyone’s weekend golf group needs a Bimmer!
We wrap up the episode with our grand finale, Mr. Ian Patrick Archer, aka IPA! Ian is known for his social media game where he shares every and any bit of content he can capture. If you followed along, he conducted caddie interviews, swing shots, and other content from the trip. Aside from IP’s motion sickness, his trip across the pond was a clean one, and if you don’t know IP, you need to.
As always, we thank you for listening to our podcast and specifically this episode! Tune in, laugh, and share and remember, keep chasin’!

People! Welcome, Mr. Kyle Long to this week’s episode of Chasin’ Birdies. The former NFL player turned golf junkie can’t get enough of chasin’ that white ball. Lucky for us, we nailed him down on a day where he was taking a break from the strenuous game of golf.
We open the episode with us discussing Kyle’s career and how he came up through the ranks to make it to the NFL. We talk football, and Kyle shares some stories about his career in the league. We have no business talking football, but golf is the common denominator on this show.
We turn the episode over to some golf talk. Kyle informs us that he is recently invited to the Yellowstone Club’s Member Guest. We love Member-Guests…and we hope Kyle brings home the W.
We polish off the episode with our standard tap-in segment where we ask Kyle 4 questions that demand his quick response. Tune into this episode and hear from one of the most down-to-earth dudes you’ll ever meet. Listen now! Keep Chasin’!

Country music isn’t always about beers or trucks…and golf isn’t always about what you shoot! No better person can attest to this than George Birge. The Nashville singer joins us on today’s episode to talk…well, golf and music.
Recorded in Pittsburgh at 93.7 The Fan (Thank y’all!), we open up the episode and get to learn a little more about George. Growing up in West Texas is what we all imagine: dirt roads, wide-open spaces, and country music. Music came early for George. After walking on to the University of Texas Men’s Golf Team, he joined forces with his friends in a band called Waterloo Revival.
After yearning for something more, he left the band to start his own gig: George Birge. This is chasin’ birdies. We transition over to songwriting and how his hit “Beer, Beer, Truck, Truck” came to be. After some advice from a fellow star, George created a TikTok page and was off to the races. We dive into his first single, “Mind On You,” and how this came to be. Obviously, we now have to talk some golf.
We discuss the LIV Golf Tour and other current golf matters. As we wrap up the show, we pay homage to Links Brewing for hosting us at Oakmont for two days. Boy o boy, ol’ George lit it up. Birdie on 18? Yep.
We round out the show with our standard Tap-In segment, where George is asked questions that demand his quick-witted reply. Golf fans and country fans…tune in! You won’t want to miss this one.

From Moscow Mules to a Transfusion Mix (just add Vodka), there’s no better craft mixer in the game than Owen’s Craft Mixers. Josh Miller, founder of Owen’s Craft Mixers, joins us on Chasin’ Birdies to talk about his leap-of-faith journey to start one of the most notable brands in the drink game today. This guy not only chases birdies on the course but has chased (and caught) birdies in LIFE.
We open up the episode and discuss Josh’s background and how he started Owen’s with his partner, Tyler. He got a gig with Honest Tea and worked on a ketchup gig with Sir Kensington Ketchup. Starting at the bottom of these companies coupled with innate sales personality propelled Josh into finding his own brand, Owen’s Craft Mixers.
We talk about Owen’s and how the brand started. From pasting a label on a bottle for a nightclub owner to landing a deal with Delta, Josh has chased birdies in his whole career. And guess what? He chases them on the COURSE!
We turn the page and talk golf. Josh attends PGA events quite frequently. Pepe and Bash can’t go a whole episode without throwing some jabs at each other, and that’s true for this episode, too! Humorous and interesting, this episode will keep you dialed in.
We polish off the episode with our standard tap-in segment where Josh is asked four questions, including his favorite on-course drink (Shocker, Pepe). Tune in and listen! You won’t want to miss this one.

We certainly love bringing you a new guest every other week. At the same time, we love having our Banter Sesh where we talk some shit, discuss the current state of Chasin’ Birdies, and overall just banter. This is exactly what this episode is; Pepe and Bash just talking.
We played in the 2022 Pete Dye Member Guest in Bridgeport, WV. We discuss this event and how we failed miserably. Pepe couldn’t keep a ball out of the water, and Bash couldn’t hole a putt from 5 feet. Did we have fun? Absolutely. We cheered our friends Tango and BKatz as they competed in the shoot-out, only to have their dreams shattered when BKatz missed a 23-inch putt. Golf.Is.Hard.
We move over to more discussions about Chasin’ Birdies and some new swag we have droppin’ soon. Overall, this episode is entertaining and will allow you to laugh. After all, isn’t that what life’s about? Be sure to check this episode out and all the other episodes we have!

It’s 2022 and we live in a social media-driven world. Ever hear of Taylor Cusack? One of golf's top female social media influencers and she’s here today on Chasin’ Birdies to tell her story and why her love for golf still remains strong. Give her a follow on Instagram or Tik-Tok. You won’t be disappointed. For Taylor, it’s all about the content. And today, this episode of Chasin’ Birdies is great content for your listening pleasure!
Scrolling..it’s something we do daily. And for Taylor Cusack, she’s about delivering good content to keep you scrolling on her page. We are delighted to have Taylor on this episode of Chasin’ Birdies. For us, it’s not so much the golf game that’s impressive but how she manages to keep her social media game up to par.
We recorded this episode at Nemacolin Resort in Farmington, PA. We open up the show and talk about Taylor and her beginnings in golf. A former golfer at Oklahoma City University, she took her game from the course to the digital world by becoming a social media influencer in the world of golf.
We transition the show and talk about her upbringing in Oklahoma. Her family owns a meat company called Cusack Meats which, according to Taylor, is the best meat you can buy..period. Aside from golf, she’s an outdoorsy type gal. Cracks cold beer, fishes, and enjoys the Sooners on Saturdays. It’s apparent that she’s always down for a good time.
We move into our last segment of the show, the Tap-In Segment where Pepe asks Taylor questions that demand her quick reply. He was begging her to see the DM’s she gets…but she declined with a grin. Enjoy this one, all. Give Taylor a follow and keep chasin’!

Hello, world. We survived the first year of Podcasting. We bring the start of Season 2 to your ears with an entertaining banter sesh to express gratitude, talk some shit, and give an outlook for the year ahead. Short but sweet, this episode will bring you up to speed on where we are with Chasin’ Birdies, a look back on past episodes, and some funny moments between the two of us. Check it out!
Almost one year ago to the day, we dropped our first episode of Chasin’ Birdies with our good friend Vince Trocheck. We are kickin’ off season two with a banter session with just Pepe and Bash doing the talkin’. We can’t wait to bring you more content over this next season.
The episode opens up with us talking about our golf clubs (ha!). The Bettinardi putter is in the bag for Bash and it is HOT! Pepe explains his new PING irons and why he won’t use the 4 or 5 iron..too hard to hit, eh?
We turn the episode to a little talk about our boy Brandon Katzeff and how he’s been dealing with his new putting green and his practice sessions with fellow neighbor and friend, Michael George. All love here, boys. State of the Union address ensues for Chasin’ Birdies as we discuss the evolution and development of our new website.
We’re always paying homage to our sponsors so thank you ALL. We can’t wait to have the Chasin’ Birdies Blonde Ale in your hands and crushin’ on the course. Beer talk continues as we make our picks for the API happening this week and talk about our favorite moments of Chasin’ Birdies to date.
The episode ends with our standard Tap-In Segment where Pepe asks Bash some questions and vice versa. It’s been a BANTER year…and we can’t thank you enough. Keep Chasin’!

Other than your golf swing, the second most important aspect about golf is how you look. That’s no problem for Stephen Malbon, founder of Malbon Golf, a golf clothing/lifestyle company. Stephen has used his past relationships to help he and his wife, Erica, build the brand into what it’s become today. With trendy looks and unique partnerships, Malbon has positioned itself as one of the better known golf apparel companies in existence. Check out this interview with Stephen Malbon as he discusses his journey in life and how he keeps striving to grow and challenge himself both on and off the course.
We are happy to have Mr. Stephen Malbon on today’s episode of Chasin’ Birdies. Founder of Malbon Golf, his vision and execution has landed him in a top spot within the golf apparel world. If you haven’t yet, check out Malbon Golf right now!
As we open up the interview, we learn that Stephen is actually on the golf course chasin’ birdies while doing this interview. We ask Stephen some basic questions about his upbringing and how he got into the clothing industry. His love for golf started at a young age while growing up on a hog farm in Virginia Beach.
We ask Stephen where his inspiration for his company has come from and how he used his past interests in art and sculpting to land himself a role as an Art Director at age 20. While he was learning a lot on the job, he launched a publication called Frank151 pre-internet which was a physical magazine that worked with thousands of artists. All of this bundled together helped him launch Malbon Golf.
We turn the tables and ask how he stays on par with his ever evolving ideas. Using social media such as Instagram keeps the pressure on with respect to what he needs to do, what he should do, and how that turns into creating more work. He likens owning or starting a business to being madly in love with a person who others may say isn’t a ‘fit’ for you. After Stephen strikes a 4-iron down the center of the fairway, we continue talking about golf, business, and other activities that he enjoys. It’s apparent his relationship with his son, Remington.
We end the show with our standard Tap-In Segment where we ask Stephen a few questions that demand his quick witted response. This interview with Stephen was not only fun but very informative. Keep chasin’ your dreams out there, people. We hope you enjoyed this episode of Chasin’ Birdies!

A hometown hero in Pittsburgh, Neil Walker was ‘the Pittsburgh kid’. In 2015, he turned the first 4-5-4 triple play in Major League history. After Pittsburgh, Neil played for the Mets, Yankees, Brewers, Miami, and finally retired after a short stint in Philly.
This episode was recorded at Nemacolin Resort in Farmington, PA. The Chasin’ Birdies boys played Neil and Eric in a two-man best ball format before recording this episode. We open up the talk with how he adjusted after just being drafted into the big leagues. He admits that it was a hard transition but eventually got easier.
Neil bounced around from various positions until he finally realized he was best at 2nd base. One perk for Neil was being able to peg it up during Spring Training or while on the road. This is where his love for golf started to blossom.
After more baseball talk coupled with life talk, we turn the tables and fire in our tap-in segment. Neil tells a story about Roberto Clemente that will leave chills all over your body. We hope you enjoy this episode as much as we do!

Here at Chasin’ Birdies we tend to feel that we’re constantly pushing our brand to bring on guests from all walks of life. This week, we don’t have a hockey player, or an NHL referee, or even a country singer. Instead, Shep Rose, Bravo TV Star, joins us on this week’s episode to talk more than just golf.
We open the episode up with us learning (and you, too) that Shep is off to Alaska for a fishing trip. Boozing and fishing in Alaska sounds like a dream, and for Shep, he’s living it. Close encounters with Grizzly Bears seems to be quite alright with Shep.
We turn the page and talk golf. How he got involved in golf and what his golf schedule is like while balancing his jammed pack schedule. At 6’4, he had to go through a few swing changes to get his game back on track.
We talk to Shep about his experience at the BMW Celebrity Golf Tournament that he played in with Max Homa..which he didn’t know who the hell that was. He rubs elbows with Aaron Rodgers and is still owed lasagna from Max for draining a putt.
After some more golf talk / stories, we turn the page to our final segment of the show, the Tap-In Segment. We ask Shep a few questions that require his witty response. This episode is full of laughs and is one you will definitely want to tune into!

Every now and then we like to drop an episode where it’s just us being...well, us. For those of you that know us personally, we tend to constantly be on the ‘shit talking’ game. It’s all in love, though. It’s been 3 months since we’ve released a banter session and with our golf games in shambles, we felt it was appropriate to drop one. We talk about golf and some stories we’ve recently encountered while playing. Whether it was the West Virginia State Amateur or the Youghiogheny CC Member-Guest, the boys are feeling the effects of ‘bad’ golf.
We incorporate a new segment of our show into this episode with Spade, a pro handicapper / gambler. Allow us to introduce you to Spade’s Corner where we will phone Spade and talk sports betting for all you addicts. ‘Tis the season for football and what better way to introduce the season with some opening line talk via Spade.
Light hearted, humourous, and entertaining episode that will surely keep your attention and have you laughing at the same time. Keep chasin’!

Being a rookie in the NFL is hard enough. Walking into the locker room for the Pittsburgh Steelers will add an element of intimidation that only a few will ever realize. This wasn’t the case for Merril. He took his opportunity head on and went on to be a key to the Steelers success in the late 80’s and early 90’s. After finishing his career in Chicago, Merril discusses how he came into the television scene and why his innate mindset to “find a way” helped him get to where he is today.
One thing that can’t be questioned: the mental abuse golf inflicts on anyone. There is no discrimination. Merril discusses his love for golf and the time he played with The King (Arnold Palmer) in a golf event where Merril was filling in for a fellow teammate. Needless to say, Mr. Palmer never wanted to play with Merril again
