After a hard-fought three points at Nottingham Forest, David Mooney is joined by City fans Chris Higginbottom and, from
StatCity.co.uk, Adam Carter to discuss the key points from the match. They look at how Erling Haaland changed the game from the bench, the improvements in Josko Gvardiol and the situation around Ederson and Stefan Ortega.
Dom Farrell and Adam Monk join the show to look back over previous title-race games that were excruciatingly difficult to watch - and we try to work out what the key components of one of those games is.
Then it's Wolves at the weekend, so we check in with Dave Azzopardi from Talking Wolves to find out how their season has gone to this point and what he's hoping for in their remaining games.
Plus, Guardiola has made it to 300 Premier League games - so which matches would make up City's top three league performances under his management?

Apr 26, 2024S15 Ep39: Another Dent in the Car
01:28:42If anyone was feeling the nerves after Arsenal took advantage of City's attention being elsewhere, the 4-0 win at Brighton was probably the perfect tonic to it. David Mooney is joined by City fans Richard Burns and Cheech to reflect on that, plus the FA Cup semi-final win over Chelsea.
They discuss the performances of Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne, they look at how Kyle Walker provided the width - and they also discuss getting the rub of the green with a few penalty decisions this week.
Then it's Nottingham Forest on Sunday... Matt Davies from Forest Focus joins the show to discuss their form going into that game. And, with the news that FA Cup replays are on the way out, Sam Rosbottom has been looking at some of City's most iconic and important FA Cup replays from years gone by.

Apr 18, 2024S15 Ep38: Biscuits and Vinegar
01:36:11The morning after the night before, David Mooney is joined by two City fans and journalists in the shape of Dan Burke from One Football and Dom Farrell from Sporting News to review the Champions League exit on penalties to Real Madrid.
As they discuss, it's a strange week... there's the disappointment at the defeat, but more broadly, was the performance perfectly good? And, on top of that, domestically, the title race is back in City's hands too.
Daniel Childs from Son of Chelsea speaks to the show to give us insight into how they're doing at the moment ahead of this weekend's FA Cup semi-final, while we also catch up with Ryan Adsett from Seagulls Socials to find out what to expect from Brighton in next week's Premier League clash.

After Manchester City's 4-2 win at Crystal Palace and 3-3 draw at Real Madrid, David Mooney is joined by City fans Chris Higginbottom and Bob Toole to discuss the performances, the character of the team, and where the results have left the club in their defence of both the Premier League and the Champions League titles.
With the tightness of the title race, how should Guardiola approach this weekend's game with Luton, especially with the looming spectre of the Real Madrid second leg on the horizon? We hear from Ollie from the We Are Luton Town podcast, who tells us all about their season so far, too.
Then we're putting match-by-match tickets into the spotlight. There's been controversy over season ticket price rises recently, but how are you affected as a fan who is only able to go to a few games each year? Listener David Lamb got in touch to explain his position, so we hear from him.

Apr 04, 2024S15 Ep36: Mutually Assured Destruction
01:16:05What do you make of the week that saw one of the most boring games of the season followed by one of the most impressive? David Mooney is joined by Adam Carter from
StatCity.co.uk and by Fred Caldeira from TNT Sports Brazil to reflect on Manchester City's 0-0 draw with Arsenal and the 4-1 win over Aston Villa.
They focus on the performances of Phil Foden and Rico Lewis, plus they discuss the structure and shape of the team both with and without Erling Haaland. Then it's Crystal Palace and Real Madrid on the horizon - and possibly a big week to come to find out if City have had their click and we're now in the post-click era for this season.
And this week's show is also getting musical... Football historian Gary James speaks about the background to several songs and chants around City, looking at the history of tunes like Blue Moon and The Boys In Blue.

As Manchester City progress to another FA Cup semi-final, Dan Burke is joined by City fan KC and The Athletic's Mark Critchley to discuss the victory over Newcastle - with a focus on Mateo Kovacic, Stefan Ortega and Guardiola's record in getting City to the latter stages of knockout competitions.
With the announcement that season ticket prices are going up... again... we give our reaction and look at the impact on supporters, with the club (once again) refusing to comment.
Former City chairman, David Bernstein, also speaks to the show - going through his time on the board at Maine Road, but also looking at his support of the club growing up.

Mar 14, 2024S15 Ep33: Don't Let On that We've Cracked the Enigma Code
01:15:53After the talking-point-filled draw at Anfield, David Mooney is joined by City fan Gaz and by the Manchester Evening News Chief City Writer, Simon Bajkowski, to reflect on the point gained against Liverpool.
Why couldn't City capitalise on a strong first half display and what changed after the break? Were they lucky it wasn't a penalty on Alexis Mac Allister at the end? Were they unlucky not to win it when they hit the post and the bar? Lots to get into...
Then there's the overall experience of being a City fan... This week has suggested lots of people just don't understand what following City means to the supporters, so we dive into that off the back of Trent Alexander-Arnold's comments.
Taylor Payne from Pod on the Tyne speaks to the show to preview the upcoming FA Cup tie with Newcastle, plus we squeeze in some memories of manager-player bust-ups from years gone by.

Mar 07, 2024S15 Ep32: Celestial Paths and Ballistic Signatures
01:18:09After two more wins, David Mooney is joined City fan Chris Higginbottom and One Football's Dan Burke to react to the victories over Manchester United and FC Copenhagen. There's a focus on Phil Foden and Erling Haaland, plus we put United's time-wasting under the spotlight... as the Etihad grew increasingly more frustrated as the game went on.
Then it's the dreaded trip to Anfield... But have City ever had a better chance of winning there (in front of fans) during Pep Guardiola's time at the club? We discuss that and we also hear from Neil Atkinson from The Anfield Wrap to get his thoughts ahead of the game.

There's a week of contrasting games for David Mooney, City fan Joe Butterfield and, from Sporting News, Dom Farrell to pick apart. The performances against Bournemouth and Luton were very different - but the outcome was the same.
They discuss Erling Haaland's five-goal rout, the relationship between the striker and other players around him, and how the centre of midfield became so much more stable against Luton. Then there's the defence, which mightn't have improved too much but is now keeping a few more clean sheets... work that one out.
Sam Rosbottom remembers the very first Manchester Derby at Eastlands, hearing from some of the scorers that afternoon - and then we preview the upcoming ties with Manchester United and FC Copenhagen.
There's also a celebration of some of the best commentary lines about City from the telly.
