It's time to head on down to the farm and get silly with the story of England's most charming weasel! In 1931 a family on the Isle of Man was visited by an interesting little creature with the mouth of a sailor and a flair for the dramatic. For years paranormal researchers and reporters alike tried to solve the mystery of the creature and...well they had some ideas.
Back in the 1800 and whatevers, people had a much looser idea of what the word "entertainment" meant. Sometimes is was a rousing game of cards or going to a play and sometimes it was setting up two steam locomotives in the middle of nowhere Texas and letting them ram into each other for a crowd. You can probably guess which one this episode is about.
Our series on France's most infamous Queen comes to a close and, full disclosure, she didn't have a great time. There's tips on how to win over your married girlfriend, a really gross tower and, reasons who you should never count on your family.
Sara and Emily welcome their best friend and resident New Age Auntie, Sadie, to break down an Astrology Tiktok trend and explain where we get the concept of soulmates. There's also some wild sidebars and a pitch for a new kind of thrift shop.
In part two of this...extended series on Marie Antoinette, Sara and Emily get into Marie's life as queen of France and all the ups and downs that come with it. Probably would have been fewer downs if certain people had paid taxes, but what do we know.
In this seasonally appropriate mini, Sara and Emily explore a brief history of Leprechauns as well as share a story about one of the wee men and some absolute mannerless d*ckhead named Tom Fitzpatrick.
After literal years of threatening it, we're finally covering the most famous (and ill-fated) queen of France, Marie Antoinette! In this part, we look at her childhood in Austria and find out how hard it was to be fourteen years old with the political responsibilities of an adult and what a boring time that must have been. Also there's some discussion of Tom Hardy and Jamie Dornan, if that does it for you.
Sara scoured Reddit for stories of children seeing, saying and generally just being creepy. She knows Emily hates them, but that's never stopped her before and now it's your problem too!
In May of 1846, a group of 80-something pioneers set out for California and a new start. The problem is, some con man with an agenda had convinced these folks that he had a shortcut. Along with pretty much every other mishap that you can imagine, this shortcut ended up costing almost half the members of the infamous Donner party their lives. This week, Emily and Sara tell the story of just how one group of people can end up completely f*cked from every direction.
As a little holiday gift from us to you, Emily made Sara play an educational game! After the first 2 or so minutes, we keep it pretty family-friendly....which is the real gift and all the trivia about reindeer is just a bonus.
