Graeme Burrows is absolutely the nicest guy and he’s supported us from the beginning, so we thought it would be cool to get him on to chat about his story with boardgames. I has had brilliant time recording this. Everyone has a journey about how they got into the hobby, and Graeme’s tale is a delight. From buying games at Big Jimmy’s to playing Star Realms and backing Kickstarters, he was a huge amount of fun. Hello. But. It’s all gone wrong. What’s happened? It’s simple.  There is no way that Episode 100 is not going out with an episode that does not contain Colin. With no Colin there would be no show. It would simply not exist.  So until that happens, which will be very very soon. We are going to keep this as a little placeholder for when the real episode happens over the next couple of days.  So until then, stay safe, roll sixes and thank you very much for your continual support for our show.    If you like what you have heard, please take some time to Rate, Subscribe and Review us on iTunes. https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/were-not-wizards/id1084198405    YOUTUBE - PLEASE SUBSCRIBE https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC03LRG64f [...]

Sometimes it just seems right to get someone on the podcast. No they don’t have to be known in the industry, or be internet famous, or have something to casually promote. They just bring some good old fashioned conversation to the table and a lot of laughs as well. This was the case with Niki, who after listening to the now infamous trilogy of  Jeremy Greer, Bryan Wade and Charles Turner asked if she could be on and talk about her boardgaming.  The episode you hear is only about 40% of what we talked about before we decided to actually record the show, which maybe explains the giggling at the beginning but not the rest of the nonsense that ensues. We spoke about a fair number of games, all of which are mentioned in some shape or form below. Niki was a delight to have on the show. Niki on Twitter www.twitter.com/lostpanda X-Wing Miniatures

In our latest Friends of the Show edition, we reach across the pond and have a chat with Jon Gilmour which unearths one of the funniest and interesting stories we’ve heard about getting into the hobby. We were really pleased he took the time out to talk to us and it’s certainly worth a listen.   Jon, along with Isaac Vega were responsible for the creation of Dead of Winter, a personal favourite of Richard’s. He has been involved in a number of other games which he was happy to talk about as well as telling us what he likes to get to the table. We talk about Kickstarter and the choices in the route to market and finish up with his latest game in progress, the extremely interesting looking Wasteland Exp [...]
