She deployed 6 times to the Middle East and Afghanistan, flying 325 combat hours in the A-10 attack plane, earning the Bronze Star and 6 Air Medals. She later served as a U.S. Congresswoman and U.S. Senator representing AZ. She is an endurance athlete and survivor of assault.
