In today's episode we make a prediction: That Vice President Kamala Harris will win Michigan in 2024 and that Elissa Slotkin will win the U.S. Senate race, too.

We might be wrong — but this is not just based on thin air.

We take our experience, the data we do have, and put it all together to analyze things how they stand. We think, from a lens being in Metro Detroit and Michigan, and respectfully, that some in the media like Steve Kornacki, Harry Enten, Dan Pfeiffer, and others may have missed a key indicator when trying to analyze this race.

Steve Friess has been a freelance journalist for the New York Times, Newsweek, Politico and many others. But this isn't his first rodeo. He was the guy who first reported the contentious butterfly ballot story in 2000, for instance.

Jer has been talking about local politics for years and is a regular attendee of policy conferences. He did the final interview of Former U.S. Senator Carl Levin before his death for HOUR Magazine, and has had conversations on the show with numerous local officeholders over the years.
