Submit ReviewA federal judge in Arizona has rejected Mark Meadows' attempt to have his criminal case moved from Arizona state court to federal court, ruling that the things Meadows did with, at the direction of, and for the benefit of Donald Trump in tying to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election - didn't constitute part of his official duties as Trump's Chief of Staff. This is not only bad news for Meadows, but it provides a preview of how Judge Tanya Chutkan may rule on the similar question of whether Trump's conduct was official presidential conduct entitled to immunity or unofficial conduct for which Trump CAN be criminally prosecuted.
