The Cincinnati Reds and the Tampa Bay Rays have been rumored to be in trade talks/ Jeff and Steve will tell you why this would not work out for the Reds. Trades will be the best way to bring value to the Reds, and it is great that the Reds are involved in trade rumors, but this won't work. The Rays are not looking to make a needle-moving trade and the Reds should not trade prospects unless it moves the needle. The Reds do need more starting pitching though. As the rotation battle looks right now, the pool of talent from Brandon Williamson, to Levi Stoudt, to Justin Dunn, to Conner Overton, to Luis Cessa is shallow. The Reds need to add more pitching talent at the MLB level. Also, with cuts about to happen we give you our picks for guys who should be brought back after being cut from the Reds 40-man roster.
