2021 has been a great year for our podcast. We passed a couple of milestones like our 100th episode. But another milestone is how many wonderful guests we’ve had on the show. We also introduced our listeners to a new series called “In The Weeds” with Jason C. Marshall discussing story structure and formula for narrative screenwriting. The series aims to help filmmakers make unforgettable captivating films.

In our episodes with Jason, he brings up his partner in filmmaking: Julian. In this episode, you meet Julian and enjoy a wonderful conversation about filmmaking, best microphones, character development for screenwriting and how the character’s perspective literally drives the twists and turns of the story. We discuss Christmas movies and how they’ve gone from children’s stories into the the horror genre.

What we discuss: - Microphones and audio capture process - Storytelling with your characters in mind - How crucial character development is in story - Developing concept from ideas - Get “Failure” out of your mind - Jason and Julian’s new podcast and 24 films in 2022 - The best moment of 2021 for each of us
