The Carolina Panthers brass has said all offseason that they need to do more to help incumbent starting quarterback Sam Darnold. General manager Scott Fitterer has rebuilt the team's offensive line, extended the top receiving threat, DJ Moore, and added competition to push Darnold in Baker Mayfield. Considering that Fitterer has done all of those things to help improve Darnold and the quarterback position overall, would it be a bad thing if Darnold ends up beating out Mayfield?

While Darnold and Mayfield will battle for the starting job, rookie quarterback Matt Corral will be reduced to a third-team, developmental role. While this could be the best thing for Corral long-term, is there potential negatives to Corral not getting first and/or second-team reps in 2022? Can the Panthers develop Corral enough this fall with him playing behind Darnold and Mayfield?

The Panthers have checked nearly every box this offseason. The lone box that remains unchecked is signing a veteran edge rusher. Fitterer provided an update on the situation of Carlos Dunlap, who visited the team back during mandatory minicamp. With or without Dunlap, has this been a successful offseason for Carolina?
