New York Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman has been with the team since the 1990s, and for Wednesday’s edition of Locked On Yankees, Stacey and Steve looked at the last ten years of Yankees’ trades, transactions, and drafts to evaluate Cashman’s performance. They look at draft classes, who the Yankees’ picked, who they passed on, and what trades some of the prospects have been part of. They also look at some good trades, bad trades, good signings, and bad signings. They start back in late 2013 with Jacoby Ellsbury signing for the 2014 season and finish off in 2023, going through what went wrong first, then what went right, and they give their overall grades for the past ten years of Cashman moves. There will be some familiar names and some that make you scratch your head. Is it a fun trip down memory lane? Yes and no.
