Heads up: We normally don’t censor ourselves on the show, but we do talk about a very mature podcast a bit in the beginning. If you want to skip all that, we finish talking about it by the 18:00-minute mark. It’s a Pearl-Clutcher!

We talk a lot about our current situations, which as you may know if you’re listening to this around the time it comes out, is the COVID-19 social distancing stuff. It’s important to mention, as we do every episode, we are not doctors. Please refer to the CDC website guidelines for information or any questions you may have.

Even though John and Emily are both naturally homebodies, even they are getting a little restless when it comes to being told to Stay Home. And that leads to some stress eating, unfortunately. But we’re figuring things out as we go along, as per usual.

We are not doctors. Please talk to your doctor before trying any new diet or exercise routine. We try our hardest to link to useful resources we have mentioned. If you have any questions, please email hatetoweight@gmail.com.

In This Episode:

  • Do you also sing along to our theme song? We do today!
  • What do you think? Do you like the humor and the memes about Quarantine and COVID-19?
  • John finds himself very undisciplined right now and running amok, but at least he’s aware!
  • Our food planning skills are being tested heavily! Especially when it comes to buying enough to eat and also store.
  • We’re all going to forgive John for not stepping on the scale this week because the batteries were dead.
  • Who’s the mean person in your life? Is it you?
  • But John has decided to get some sunshine and fresh air. (Psst: I talked to him later that day and it was a good experience.)
  • Have you heard about Dying for Sex? What do you think?
  • We’re also looking for distractions — something that has nothing to do with current events.
  • Everyone! Big news! Julie Andrews is OK! (There was nothing wrong with her, but Emily worries if she doesn’t get a Julie Andrews update every so often.)
  • Emily is pulling back and taking a look at her business and how it fits into what’s going on.
  • She also is turning off the phone during the day or putting Do Not Disturb on her phone.
  • Be aware of the Scarcity Mentality that many of us are in. This raises our stress and many of us hold onto weight when our stress is up. Thank goodness for yoga, mindfulness and making plans you look forward to.
  • Want to lure Emily out of her house? Offer her food!
  •  Weddings are just older people-Proms!
  • “Fail to Prepare, Prepare to Fail” - Annette-spirations from the Live Chat Room!
  • We also both having crazy dreams  — anyone else?
  • “If you’re doing what you should be doing, the outcome doesn’t matter.” - This week’s John-spiration!
  • Congratulations to everyone for their #WinningWednesday posts!
  • Later, Weighters!

We’d love to hear your scale and non-scale victories! Come celebrate your wins over in the Hate to Weight Discussion Group on Facebook
