Tech News and Commentary Dave and the team discuss a French father knocking two towns offline, a new social network from Donald Trump, an AI work of art, AirTag tracking, Virgin Hyperloop layoffs, Instagram limiting their daily time limit options, and more. Our guest this hour: Dr. Scott Adzick, Surgeon-In-Chief of Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Jack in Lakewood, New Jersey listens to the Podcasts and asked: "I recently moved to New Jersey from Brooklyn and now I have Optimum. When I ordered my TV part, they sent me an Altice One Mini. They also sent me two remotes because I asked for two remotes. My wife wants one and I want one. However they say that both of them can't be hooked up the same way. I gave my wife he easier one - she just pushes buttons and she's fine. I have to point.I have to have line of sight. (Sounds like one remote is RF and one is IR) -cg And usually my feet get in the way, my blanket gets in the way - all sorts of things. I need to find a way to have both remotes work the same way, wirelessly and without line of sight. It's a big issue for me. I would really love to be able to have my remote and when she's sleeping I use mine, and when I'm sleeping she uses hers, and they both work the same way without line of sight. Any help you can give me I'd really appreciate it." 25-2022-H1S1.mp3">https://media.blubrry.com/into_tomorrow/content.blubrry.com/into_tomorrow/02-25-2022-H1S1.mp3 Jack, unfortunately youre not going to be able to do what you want to do with an Altice One Mini box. The manufacturer assumes one remote per box. For example, if you had a box in the bedroom and one in the living room and had lost your living room remote, you could pair your bedrooms remote to the living room box, but the remote would stay paired only to the living room and would no longer be able to interact with the bedrooms box. The opposite case is true as well, you can pair a remote with a box but when you pair a second one it will become the only sole remote. You are able to use the infrared portion of the remote because that requires no pairing at all and the box has idea who its talking to. Unfortunately, unless you get a different cable box, you wont be able to do what you want to do.
