Timon, who was born to Chinese and Trinidadian parents, made his mark as Chef and Partner of SUGARCANE Raw Bar Grill, earning numerous accolades including "Best New Restaurant," and Timon was dubbed "Best Up-and-Coming Chef" by Miami New Times and "Chef of the Year" by Eater shortly after its debut in 2010. Since then, the accolades have never stopped. Most recently, Timon was named one of “16 Black Chefs Changing Food in America” by The New York Times and nominated for a James Beard Award.
