126 years ago next month, a massacre was carried out against Black citizens of Wilmington, North Carolina, in what would become the only successful coup d'etat in American history. The film "American Coup: Wilmington 1898" documents the history and consequences of that massacre. The documentary premieres on PBS on November 12.
