Today marks one year since Yuriy joined the army in the fight against Russia. He reflects on a book he recently read by British Historian, Peter Hopkirk, who discusses the Russian tyranny is a legacy from Mongol Empire and he relates that to his recent experience in Bakhmut.
Yuriy has also recorded some sound of shelling around him so you can get an idea of what his job is like.
