Mrs. Crystal Ellingsen is a wife, mother of three, teacher, and growing activist. She is also working on managing a chronic progressive disease that affects 1 in 10 women — lipedema. Lipedema is a condition that is almost exclusively found in women and results in enlargement of both legs due to deposits of fat under the skin. The tricky thing is that lipedema fat isn’t manageable via traditional weight-loss methods.
