What can we say? It looked to me like the Minnesota Wild were simply more desperate this game, that they just wanted it more. They outworked, outhustled, outpinched and eventually outscored the Edmonton Oilers in a 5-3 win on Friday night. Since 2010, in 18 homes games against the Wild, it was Edmonton's 15th loss. It came even as Edmonton's Dynamite Line was dominant. Leon Draisaitl, Kailer Yamamoto and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins easily cut through Minnesota, essentially forechecked the stuffing out of the Wild, challenging every zone exit, picking off numerous passes. But they were a one line team, creating all of the Edmonton goals and all but one of the Oilers scoring chances.
