The Cincinnati Reds and Nick Krall may have found another diamond in the rough, but this player will be here for awhile if he pans out. The early Spring Training performances show some good Reds things and one not-so good. Like who will be the Reds second left-handed relief pitcher in the bullpen? It has been encouraging to see guys like Matt McLain, Christian Encarnacion-Strand, and Noelvi Marte step up in the playing time they've been given. While the Reds may not add them to the Opening Day roster, their performances are still encouraging. The new rules implemented by MLB have the ability to grow the game, they just may take some getting used to. the Pitch Clock has significantly shortened the length of games, which is a good thing, but what are the pitfalls? Also, Joey Votto made one outlandish prediction. That didn't influence the projections on him from Zips, though, as it isn't too keen on Votto being a big power hitter in 2023.
