The Chicago White Sox beat the Detroit Tigers, 5-3, on Sunday afternoon. The White Sox swept the three game series and are now three games over .500 for the first time since April 17th. The Sox got stellar starting pitching and reliable bullpen help all series long. Michael Kopech, Lucas Giolito and Lance Lynn all went at least six innings in their respective outings. AJ Pollock and Andrew Vaughn had key contributions during the weekend. Pollock had critical hits at critical times and has filled in nicely in the lead off spot for the injured Tim Anderson. Liam Hendriks pitched in games 1 and 2 of the series, nailing down his 25th save of the year. The White Sox play host to the Houston Astros starting Monday night.
