The program opens up with music Intrada Records new release of James Horner’s controversial replacement score to TROY. Jason then takes you back to 1982 and features Vangelis’ classic score to Ridley Scott’s sci-fi masterpiece, BLADE RUNNER. Roy Budd returns to The Archive as we play selections from Caldera Records release of WILD GEESE 2. James Newton Howard’s swashbuckling action-adventure score to WATERWORLD was recently released in expanded form from La La Land Records; Jason will have selections from that album for you as well.
Clint Eastwood’s Academy Award-winning film UNFORGIVEN turns 25 years old this year and in celebration, we’ll play selections from Lennie Niehaus’ delicate score. You’ll also hear music from THE OUTLAW JOSEY WALES by Jerry Fielding.
CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO says Happy 91st Birthday to Laurence Rosenthal by playing a suite from the TV series LOGAN’S RUN, which first aired in 1977.
The program ends with cues from La La Land Records’ superb release of John Williams Academy Award-winning score to E.T THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL, which turned 35 this year.
