Chris Rock stars in and serves as executive producer in a film that allowed him to branch out into the horror genre. Directed by Darren Lynn Bousman, Spiral is the ninth instalment in the Saw franchise. Thanks to Anarchy PR, we were able to check this one out. Chris Rock was heavily involved in the development of this instalment, with a conscious effort to go in a new direction, following the Spierig Brother's Jigsaw (Jigsaw). Working in the shadow of his father, Detective Ezekial “Zeke" Banks (Chris Rock) and his rookie partner (Max Minghella) take charge of an investigation into grisly murders that are eerily reminiscent of the city's gruesome past. Unwittingly entrapped in a deepening mystery, Zeke finds himself at the centre of the killer's morbid game.
