Directed by Mike Rianda (in his directorial debut) and co-directed by Jeff Rowe, The Mitchells vs. The Machines is the computer animated science fiction comedy film produced by Sony Pictures Animation. The Mitchells vs. The Machines was also written by Rianda and Rowe, with Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Kurt Albrecht serving as producers. Young Katie Mitchell embarks in a road trip with her proud parents, younger brother and beloved dog to start her first year at film school. But their plans to bond as a family soon get interrupted when the world's electronic devices come to life to stage an uprising.
