The Suitcase and The Scribe are back for another episode filled with playoff hockey talk.

After sweeping the Florida Panthers, the Tampa Bay Lightning are moving onto the second round. Mike McKenna and Scott Burnside dove into what went right for Tampa, especially on the depth pieces they have acquired.

Of course, they then spoke about the Carolina Hurricanes and the New York Rangers. Neither team has won a game away from their home arena, so who knows what will happen there.

Later on, in the show, Mike and Scott were joined by Leah Hextall from ESPN to talk about the Battle of Alberta. Leah talked about her experience covering the series so far and the vibes around the two cities. She also dove into the banter between the two benches, specifically involving Evander Kane and Matthew Tkachuk.

Towards the end of the interview, the three of them also discussed the idea of Barry Trotz becoming the new head coach of the Winnipeg Jets. Leah is a Manitoba native, and she explained how badly the Jets need a man like Trotz to help turn the tables in Winnipeg.

After talking with Leah Hextall, Mike and Scott rounded out the show with a conversation about the Nazem Kadri racial incident that occurred earlier this week and the other news on the ice from that series.
